Talk Well - FREE live Zoom webinars for parents and carers of young people aged 11–18 in Gloucestershire are continuing – with new September dates now available!

Alongside the popular sessions on self-harm and being exam-ready, a new topic has been introduced: The Teenage Experience, focusing on understanding adolescence and strengthening parent–teen relationships.

These webinars offer practical advice, expert guidance, and a supportive space for families – all delivered by experienced facilitators.

Let's Talk Well run FREE support groups for parents and carers of young people that meet face-to-face or virtually via Teams. Discover strategies to nurture resilience, guided by trained facilitators.

We are aware that there are often long waiting times to speak to a Dispenser at the surgery or on the phone to order medication.
We believe that a significant number of patients calling in could successfully use the NHS App to order their medication, thus making the process quicker and more effective for all.
Did you know that 3rd party access can be set up on the NHS App so that family members can order medication online for their adult (elderly / frail) relatives?
If you would like some help to set this up, Emma would be very happy to support you.
The next session at Stow Surgery is on 25th August.
Please call the surgery to make an appointment (01451 830625) or just drop in.

Meningitis ACWY
We have 89 young people aged between 14 and 25 who have not been vaccinated against Meningitis ACW & Y strains.
It's offered to teenagers in school (usually school year 9), but can be given up to the age of 25 if it's been missed.
If you're under 25 and you've not had the MenACWY vaccine before, you should ideally have it at least 2 weeks before starting college or university.
We have appointments available throughout the week (please book a "nurse slot" if booking online). Alternatively, give us a call for appointments on Saturday 1st August.
You can check online, on the NHS App if you've already had it. If you've not got the NHS App then why not download it?

Please note that this vaccination is different to the Meningitis B strain jabs - vaccination for this is only available at community pharmacies.

Find out about the MenACWY vaccine, including what it’s for, who should have it, how to get it and possible side effects.
