Koram Centre - Bereaved by Su***de Support Group

Losing a loved one by su***de can be a very painful experience. The feelings of loss, sadness and loneliness usually experienced after any death of a loved one are often magnified in those bereaved by su***de by feelings of guilt, confusion, rejection, shame, anger, and the effects of stigma and trauma.

Here at the Koram Centre we are continuing to offer support to those bereaved by su***de through our monthly facilitated support group.

This group will bring together those with similar experiences to offer support to each other, fostering hope and healing.

Remaining Spaces - Filling My Wellness Toolbox Programme

We have a number of remaining spaces on our upcoming Filling My Wellness Toolbox Programme

This programme will support participants to increase knowledge and understanding to improve emotional health and well being.

This will include exploring topics of self-care and self-compassion, mindfulness, setting healthy boundaries and good communication, ideas from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, grief theories and what to expect in grief, and moving towards self-love and self-acceptance.

Each week will consist of teaching, written exercises, discussion, poetry, and a cuppa together.
This programme will be facilitated by Fiona Magill who is an accredited counsellor/psychotherapist.

Programme Details:
Dates: Wednesday 24th June - Wednesday 29th July (6 weeks)
Time: 10:00am - 11:30am
Venue: Training Room, Koram Centre, 12 Railway Street, Strabane

This FREE programme will introduce participants to meditation techniques, helping them to increase knowledge and skills to help them relax (body & mind), reducing stress and improving overall health and well being.

Time: 5.00pm - 6.00pm

This programme will be delivered by Liz Stevenson, an experienced complementary therapist and meditation practitioner.

Thanks to Sophie and Jody for thinking of us for their fundraiser. Such a kind and thoughtful gesture. We appreciate the support!

Huge congratulations to Sophie and Jody (Year 9) on their fantastic fundraising achievement! 🎉

Through their creativity and hard work during Anti-Bullying Week, they made and sold beautiful friendship bracelets, treat bags, and crocheted hair accessories, raising an incredible £105 for The Koram Centre, Strabane. 💙

A special thank you also to Adrian from The Koram Centre for taking the time to visit the school today to meet the girls and hear all about their wonderful efforts, it is greatly appreciated.
