Gary Mc Callion
13th June 2022
4th Anniversary

You had so much life left to live,
So many sunrises to wake up to,
So many memories to make,
So much love to receive.
It will forever break our hearts that you didn't get the time.
We keep thinking about everything you should have experienced,
and how unfair it feels that you were taken too soon.
You live in our thoughts every day and we will miss you forever.

Loved always Mum, Dad, brother Ryan and sister Rachel. X###

Acknowledgement – Pat McGuigan

Strabane and formerly Fintona. Died 11th May 2026.
We, the family of the late Pat McGuigan wish to express our sincere gratitude and heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with us and supported us during our recent sad bereavement of a beloved husband, devoted father, caring father -in-law, cherished Granda, and much loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and cousin. We are grateful to all of our family, friends and neighbours who supported us and visited our home during Pat’s short illness.

We wish to express our thanks to everyone who telephoned, attended the wake, brought and sent Mass cards and sympathy cards, sent text messages, left messages on social media and made donations to the Foyle Hospice. We are deeply appreciative to all those who attended the funeral, especially those who travelled long distances. We are forever grateful for your kindness, words of comfort and heartfelt messages.

A special word of thanks to Fr Michael McCaughey and Fr Declan Boland for their prayers and attendance at the wake, and to Deacon Marlene Skuce, North West Methodist Mission for attending the wake house. We also wish to thank the President and Captain of Strabane Golf Club for paying their respects at the wake.

Thank you to our relatives, friends and neighbours who brought food and helped throughout the wake. We were so touched by your kindness and generosity. Sincere thanks also to Beech Lane Coffee for the delicious food provided during the wake. We would like to thank Majella McCallion and staff of The Den for the use of chairs during the wake.

We wish to express our appreciation to the medical and nursing staff of Wards 21 and 42 and the Oncology Department in Altnagelvin Hospital who cared for Pat during his initial hospital stay. Thanks also to Dr Brian Gallagher and the staff of Mourneside Medical Centre, Kiera Farren, Diabetic Specialist Nurse, the pharmacists and staff of Medicare Pharmacy (Mourne), the Community Nursing Team and Marie Curie nurses for their support in helping us care for Pat at home in his final few weeks. We wish to thank in particular Caroline and the Foyle Hospice team for their compassionate support and guidance.

Our heartfelt thanks to Fr Séan O’ Donnell for his prayerful support to Pat during his illness, for his support during the wake and for the beautiful, uplifting Funeral Mass. Thanks also to Fr Peter O’Kane for his visits and spiritual support to Pat during his illness, for attending the wake house and assisting with the Funeral Mass. We extend our thanks to Blondie and Brian for the wonderful music during the Funeral Mass, and to all those who took part in the Mass. Heartfelt thanks also to Pat’s friends in the ‘Music To Your Ears’ group for their very touching Guard of Honour outside the Church. We also wish to express our deep gratitude to the local C.O.T.E (Children of the Eucharist) team for their ongoing prayers and support.
To Jude and the staff of Quigley’s Funeral Directors who carried out their duties in such a caring, dignified and professional manner. We are also grateful to the Church sacristan, and to Con Tinney who carefully prepared Pat’s final resting place. We wish to express our gratitude to the staff of the Fir Trees Hotel for the beautiful funeral meal.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement conveys our family’s heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to everyone for their kindness, help and support on our devastating loss.

Pat will always be loved and missed every day. May his gentle, kind and generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest.

Pat’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Melmount on Saturday 13th June at 7 p.m.

Our Lady of Knock pray for him.
