The Family of the late John Duncan wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us following the sad loss of our beloved Father, Granda and Father-in-law. We are deeply touched by the kindness shown to us by everyone who attended the wake and funeral, called at our home, brought food, sent Mass and sympathy cards, sent flowers, or remembered us in their thoughts and prayers. We wish to acknowledge our relatives, neighbours and friends who helped us in so many ways throughout the wake and funeral. Your kindness, generosity and thoughtfulness brought us great comfort and will always be remembered.
Our deepest appreciation goes to the amazing carers, district nurses, Palliative care team, Doctor Mc Sorley and all the staff at Mourneside Family Practice. We will be forever grateful for the kindness, dignity and care shown to our Father.
To Fr. Mc Caughey, for his spiritual guidance and the fitting Funeral Mass and burial, and to Billy the Sacristan, for his services at the Mass. To the wonderful singer Michelle Conaghan and organist Gerard Bradley for providing beautiful music at our Father’s Mass. To Quigley Funeral Directors, for their compassionate and professional manner, guiding us through the funeral arrangements with such care. We would also like to thank the McDermott girls and team for their catering after the funeral.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgment will be accepted as a warm expression of our gratitude to everyone who supported us following our sad loss. A Mass will be offered up for everyone’s intentions.
May our Dad and Granda’s loving and gentle soul, Rest in Peace.
