One of the most common things we hear from dog owners is:

“He’s just getting older.”

And sometimes that’s true.

But slowing down on walks, stiffness after resting, reluctance to jump into the car or reduced enthusiasm for exercise can sometimes be signs of discomfort rather than simply age.

Osteopathy may help improve your dog’s comfort, mobility and quality of life, helping them stay active and enjoy the things they love for longer.

If you’ve noticed changes in your dog, we’d be happy to help.

If it feels like you’re constantly managing symptoms rather than making lasting progress, it may be time to take a different approach.

Sometimes the painful area isn’t the whole story.

Have you had pain that’s been bothering you for a while?

Maybe it’s nagging back pain, a shoulder that’s been aching for months, a neck that keeps tightening up or a knee that’s never quite felt right since an old injury.

These types of aches and pains are often easy to put down to “just getting older” or lifestyle factors like work, stress and being busy.

But you don’t have to just put up with them.

At Three Shires we take time to understand your symptoms and what might be causing them.

Looking at your movement, lifestyle, previous injuries and other contributing factors helps us to build a clearer picture of what’s causing those aches and pains, and how we can help.

“Osteopath…that’s for backs, right?”

It’s something that we hear a lot…but it’s not the full picture.

We treat more than just back pain, and often see people with a wide range of muscle and joint-related issues.

From sore hips, to achy shoulders and painful knees, these are all things we regularly help people with.

We often see a lot of gardening related aches and pains after long weekends like this one 🌿

The sun comes out and a few hours of gardening can easily turn into most of the day…and then you wake up the next morning feeling stiff, sore or not quite right.

If you’ve noticed things like:
• Stiff knees or hips
• An achy lower back
• Sore shoulders

You’re definitely not alone.

These kinds of aches and pains are really common when we suddenly do more than our bodies are used to.

If this sounds like you (or someone you know), it might be time to get checked out.

Osteopathy is a hands-on treatment that works with your joints and muscles to help support movement and reduce discomfort - especially after activities like gardening that involve a lot of bending, lifting and kneeling.

📩 Get in touch if you’d like to find out more about how osteopathy could help you.

Or send this to someone who spent a bit too long in the garden this weekend 👀
