A classic next to a modern classic, The Sunrise Medical S425 Mobility scooter, with a difference.

Are you bored of what Colour choices are available, when it comes to mobility scooters? Normally its either grey or red, but now you can have the Sunrise Medical S425 in British racing green! It does not look too bad next to my Mini Cooper SE.

Are you looking for a slightly bigger scooter that can cope with most terrains, bigger weight capacity and is great value for money? Then consider the Scooterpac Ignite Grandee.

The Ignite Grandee is the top of the range model. it has a 45-mile range which is like wow! Compared to other scooters it has extra wide tyres for better off road grip. it has fully active suspension when you decided that staying on the path was a bit boring and you just wanted to have some fun. Lockable front and rear boxes, L.E.D. lighting a powerful 1450w motor that is extremely efficient. This might sound silly but a heated seat and lumber, if like me you have a extremely bad back and you’re out and about a heat pack goes a long way to relieve pain, to have it built into the seat is amazing.

It also has extra wide mud guards to make sure you are not drenched in mud when you have done your bit of off roading. Take this into account the width of the scooter in old money is nearly 31"

It can take up to 33 Stone which is amazing, the seat is slightly bigger than most and the back of the seat can be adjusted to support your back as you need. as for the controls they are very self-explanatory. if you struggle to use a scooter that is a pull throttle, you will be pleases that you can either pull or push the levers whichever way you find easiest.

My only slight concern, and it is slight, is the fact that if your new to mobility scooters this scooter has one thing to catch you out. it has exception grip and also a great deal of torque, so if you have it set at maximum speed and you pull the forward lever hard, be prepared for the scooter to take off, and make sure you have both hands on the scooter to control the power.

Overall, I absolutely rate this scooter. It’s fun, its comfortable and it can go most places off normal pavements a normal road legal scooter would struggle with.

Are you looking for a boot scooter that is easy to use, manoeuvrable and able to cope with a larger person? Who saysa you can’t have fun?

Hi My name is Mike, and I am 6’2 and 26 Stone, I have serious mobility issues, but I have struggled to find a portable scooter that can take my weight. This is my honest review, and if it’s of any interest, I am ordering one for myself.

If so the Spartan 9 could be for you, It is unique in the design as it is very easy to assemble and the scooter breaks down into individual components, to help making it easier to fit in the car.

It even has a bit of suspension, as the seat has two posts to give better stability, but both posts also have suspension springs to give a more comfortable ride. It also uses Pneumatic tyres again to make the ride more comfortable.

It has a top speed of 4mph, which is ideal for a pavement scooter. Easy to take apart and put together. It can run on either SLA batteries or Lithium, easy to switch between either. Comfortable seat. One feature that stands out is the manoeuvrability. It is a four-wheel scooter but the front wheels are next to each other, this gives tighter turning circle, making it easy to get out of tricky situations.

One other feature it has which is handy for people who are not use to Mobility scooter is it has a thing called a potentiometer; this activates when the scooter realises your turning. It slows the scooter down automatically, so you do not tip or lose control. You can disengage this feature very easily once you are use to driving the scooter.

It is not the lightest scooter by any means but, it is strong and robust. The design is simple and relatively basic. This makes it less gimmicky but practical.
