Our new CQC OUTSTANDING signs and banners have arrived, reminding everyone that our work has been rated as outstanding by the regulator Care Quality Commission.

We are so proud to have achieved this rating and of the service that we provide to our community. It’s wonderful to be recognised for the quality of our services.

A huge thank you to Shakespeare Morris for selling badges to raise donations for The Shakespeare Hospice during their Day of Dance on Saturday 15th August.

We are so grateful for their support and friendship, what a beautiful way to raise vital funds for The Shakespeare Hospice.

DRAGON BOAT RACE IS THIS WEEK!!

Our annual Dragon Boat Race event to benefit the Hospice is being held on Sunday 20th September from 10am until 3.30pm.

We’re so excited to have our corporate teams, community groups and new friends raising money for us out on the water.

If you’d like to come down and see us, Stratford-upon-Avon will be alive with the Food Festival, our event and more, so it’s certain to be a wonderful day. If you’re popping down to see the event, it’s totally free to watch! We will have collection tins, a raffle and many more ways to support the hospice on the day. Any questions, ask someone in purple, or our lovely volunteers who will be wearing purple lanyards.

It’ll be lovely to see you there!

Today was a busy day at the hospice.

We saw patients benefit from our in house Therapy Groups: Adapted Circuit Training, Adapted Tai Chi and Guided Meditation.

We also welcomed the Parkinsons Education Group which is running over the next 4 weeks, the Heart Failure Specialist Nurse who runs a monthly clinic from the Hospice, and the Secondary Breast Cancer support Group who use our facilities to be able to meet and support each other.

Our resident hospice dragon is training for our Dragon Boat Race on Sunday 20th September.

Come on down and see us race out on the water! It’s going to be a brilliant day!

Spotlight on our services - Hospice at Home

Following diagnosis of a life-limiting illness, more and more people are choosing to be supported and cared for at home.

Our Hospice at Home nursing service is a team of dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses and Health Care Assistants who support patients with a life-limiting illness.

The service provides holistic care and support to patients and their families by allowing them to decide how they wish to access Palliative and end of life care . We enable those who wish to die at home to do so in comfort and with dignity – and surrounded by those who are most important to them.

If you can’t find a full team to join you to participate in Dragon Boat Race 2026 then worry not. You can still join us to participate in a smaller team or individual, and we’ll put you in a boat and make you part of a larger team!
