Thursday 13th August, 11:00-12:00

Log my Care's latest research looks at the gap between care providers rated Requires Improvement and those rated Outstanding. Their upcoming webinar will walk you through where the gaps are for learning disability providers, and how you can fill them.

The research shows it came down to two things: how incidents are recorded and reviewed, and how clearly goals and outcomes are evidenced.

Join Louie Werth, Founder of Care Research, as he walks through the findings including that 100% of Outstanding providers could evidence progress against people's goals, compared with just 49% of Requires Improvement providers.

If you're preparing for re-inspection, reviewing your systems, or simply want to know what separates the best from the rest, this session is for you.

Log my Care analysed 50 CQC inspection reports, looking specifically at providers rated Requirements Improvement and Outstanding to see what separates them.

The results show that Outstanding-rated learning disability providers tend to share these traits:
Strong incident reporting processes that are used in practice daily
Evidence of progress with service users’ outcomes and goals

This report is worth reading if you have an inspection coming up; want to get ahead with evidencing; and want to understand where you can make improvements to your care service.

👁️ Could better vision awareness help reduce falls in care?

Mobile eyecare provider SightWatcher has launched a free 30-minute Vision and Falls seminar for CQC-registered managers and frontline care teams across Kent.

The interactive session will help staff:

✅ Recognise signs of vision impairment
✅ Understand the link between poor vision and falls
✅ Take practical, proactive steps to support safer care
✅ Build confidence around eye health

Falls remain a major risk in adult social care and can influence CQC assessments, making this essential learning for care providers.
