How does a baby progress from their first movements to independent walking?

The answer lies in a remarkable relationship between growth, motor development and the evolving musculoskeletal system.

Paediatric Osteopathy: Growth, Motor Development and Structure explores how movement develops from birth through to 12 years of age, examining the close connection between brain development, physical growth and purposeful movement.

Across this three-day course, participants will explore:

✨ Musculoskeletal growth from infancy through childhood
✨ Motor development and purposeful movement
✨ Relationship between brain and physical structure
✨ The processes including disease that change growth in childhood
✨ Key developmental stages from 0-12 years of age

Learning doesn't only happen when information is shared. It often happens through discussion, observation, practical experience and individual feedback.

In postgraduate osteopathic education, these opportunities can play an important role in developing clinical reasoning, palpatory skills and confidence in practice.

Smaller learning groups create space for questions, exploration and meaningful interaction between tutors and participants. They also allow practitioners to receive more personalised guidance and practical feedback throughout the learning process.

For many osteopaths, some of the most valuable learning comes not only from experienced tutors, but also from sharing perspectives and experiences with colleagues facing similar clinical challenges.
