Feeling tight through your hips or mid back?

These areas often work together more than you’d think. Long periods of sitting, heavy training, running or simply being in the same positions all day can leave the glutes, deep hip muscles and thoracic region feeling stiff and restricted.

Sports massage can help to:
✨ Reduce muscular tension
✨ Improve mobility through the hips & mid back
✨ Encourage better movement and rotation
✨ Support recovery from training

Feeling “tight” doesn’t always mean you just need to stretch. Strength, movement variety and recovery all play a part too.

The calm before the treatment 🧘🏼‍♀️

You don’t need to be injured to book a sports massage. Sometimes your body just needs a bit of maintenance, especially if you train regularly, have a physical job or spend hours in the same position.

Come in feeling stiff. Leave feeling like you’ve got a bit more room to move. 🙌🏼

Improving thoracic mobility can help reduce stiffness, improve overhead movement, encourage better posture and reduce the amount of compensation from the neck and lower back during everyday movements and training.

1️⃣ Start with dynamic foam rolling
Roll slowly up and down your thoracic spine (your upper back), pausing briefly over any areas that feel particularly stiff. You can move the foam roller to different levels of your thoracic spine to target different segments rather than staying in one place.

2️⃣ Thoracic extension – arms crossed
Once you’ve loosened the area, place the foam roller across your upper back and gently extend over it with your arms crossed over your chest. This is a great starting point as it focuses on improving thoracic extension without placing too much demand on the shoulders.

3️⃣ Progress to arms out with elbows bent
If comfortable, progress by opening your arms out to the side with your elbows bent. This increases the stretch through the pecs and the front of the shoulders while encouraging a greater range of movement through the thoracic spine.

The progression you use should depend on your current mobility, comfort and range of motion. Don’t force yourself into the more advanced position if the first variation already gives you a good stretch.

Save this one for your next upper body session! 💪

People often think treatment is about “fixing” pain.

In reality, it’s about improving how your body moves, reducing unnecessary tension, restoring confidence in movement and keeping you doing the things you enjoy.

Every session is tailored to you. Sometimes that includes massage, sometimes rehab, sometimes cupping but the treatment is always based on what your body needs.

Your recovery deserves more than a one size fit all approach. 🤝

Your feet are the foundation for everything you do. 👣

When the joints in your feet become stiff and the muscles tighten up, it can affect how you walk, run, squat and even contribute to aches further up the body.

Massage helps reduce muscle tension and improve circulation, while gentle joint mobilisations encourage the foot to move more freely. Together, they can help improve comfort, restore movement and support better overall function.

Whether you’re an athlete, spend all day on your feet, or just feel like your feet need some TLC, don’t underestimate the difference they can make.

Massage isn’t just about feeling good, it can be a valuable tool for recovery and injury management.

✔️ Reduces muscle tension and stiffness
✔️ Improves movement and flexibility
✔️ Encourages blood flow to help recovery
✔️ Can reduce pain and muscle guarding
✔️ Helps you move better so you can train, work and live with less discomfort

Massage works best as part of a bigger plan. If you’ve got an injury, combining hands on treatment with the right rehab exercises often leads to the best long term results.

Don’t wait until you’re in pain, looking after your body regularly can help keep small issues from becoming bigger ones.
