Pregnancy and Post Natal Support

Gently addressing challenges and preparing for the birth. Bliss has had specialist training in supporting clients throughout the journey from the challenges of conceiving, through to labour and beyond. She can offer assistance with issues such as sickness and nausea in early stages, back pain and hip problems in the later stages, or sleep loss. She can assist in e

ncouraging good positioning for the baby prior to engagement, and help to facilitate pain relief techniques during the labour itself. Post partum she can provide nurturing respite and stimulate the body in it's regeneration process following the birth. She is happy to spend a session with mum and birth partner teaching specific pressure points and safe massage oils to use at the birth, or can accompany mums in labour. Baby Massage

Building bonds, fostering infant's strength and flexibility. Parents and childcare professionals can learn the art of infant massage. This is beneficial for infants of any age, following the 6 week check-up to ensure they are well to receive massage. Baby massage improves relationships as a form of touch communication between adults and babies, enables the infant to gain an awareness of their body and the way it can move, as well as providing relief from various ailments such as sleeplessness, colic or other digestive issues, teething, etc. Baby yoga techniques can be incorporated into the massage routine to encourage playfulness, relaxation and gentle exercise for mums post labour.

An obstetrician from the 1800’s decided your due date.

And VERY often babies are forced out of the womb before they’re ready based on his calculations.

The obsession with a gestation of 40 weeks leads to an increase in inductions, interventions, and surgical birth - all of which have physical and emotional/mental consequences for mother and baby.

But where did this guess date even come from?

The due date calculation we use today comes from an obstetrician named Franz Karl Naegele, who invented “Naegele’s Rule”. This calculation starts with the first day of your last menstrual period, goes back three months, then adds one year and 7 days. The result is a gestation of 280 days (40 weeks).

The 40 week date is an average, meaning that about 1/2 of women will give birth before that date, & 1/2 after. It probably wasn’t seen as a hard eviction date in the 1800’s.

But today we live in a fast-paced world that runs on schedules and money. And with the ability to “control” birth via induction and surgery, this 40 week average date often turns into the day when your baby will be forced from your body.

Here are my top 3 reasons why using this calculation as a hard eviction date is wrong...

1. Naegele’s Rule is based on a 28 day menstrual cycle. If you, like me, don’t ovulate at exactly day 14 of your cycle, this calculation won’t work for you. Most people don’t know when they ovulate, and this important fact is almost never taken into account when calculating a due date.

2. Our bodies are all different - we didn’t all get our periods at exactly age 11 years 6 months and 13 days, so why would our bodies all grow babies at exactly the same rate? To use a due date as an estimate of when a baby will arrive is one thing - to use it as an eviction notice is a completely different story.

3. Many factors determine whether you are likely to have a longer or shorter gestation - if you are between the ages of 19 and 34, having your first baby, or are white, you are statistically more likely to have a longer pregnancy.

💕Pregnant Mother💕

🌹You should known, that you are your baby's Mother Earth as your mom was for you when u was in her womb🌹

✨Yes our body is like the Mother Earth when we are pregnant. You have all the elements that creates crystals and stones to create bones, rivers of waters to create blood, mountains of proteines and lipids to create muscles and organs, and more and more therwe is inside yourself to nourish and hold the soul of your baby💕

✨Your molecular information will be pass to your baby in form of vitamins, minerals, protein, etc.... But also energetically....spiritually... Emotionally... many codes will pass to our babies.

✨Your baby is going to use all what you can provide to build his or her physical body, but also it will pass some ancestral information, experiences from this life and spiritual information too.

✨And you know whats amazing? We, mothers also integrate and receive information from our babies 😍 so much light💖

✨Our being will be recalibrate it in all levels, and in both directions there is a beautiful imprint from both souls😍

✨And there is still more magic: The Placenta🙏😍💖🌹 (but thats for a next post).

✨Even us, are literally made of our mother's body and soul during her pregnancy and that requires huge amounts of nutrients, minerals, intention - attention, and power of will💖

✨So taking care of your nutrition is so essential as taking care of our spiritual and emotional health, using wisely the light that we receive from our babies💖

✨And with this New Moon and New beginning, create a special moment to be for u and your baby, to be for yourself and embrace the recalibration that is happening in you both💖

💖When we learn to take care of our own land, we start to take care and protect our beautiful planet💖

What do you say to a sister
who is about to
enter the sea
when you don’t know if she will be met
with storms or calm water
when you don’t know what
journey awaits and
how she’ll make it to shore

What do you say to a sister
when you see her scan the horizon
hesitant and unsure
when you know her fear
and the work that lays ahead
when you know she’ll come out the other side
Changed

Softer perhaps. Or maybe scarred.
But stronger, too, no doubt.

You walk with her as deep as you can into those waters
and you hold her close, as long as you can
and then you let go
and let her dive deep
knowing there are parts of this journey
she must make alone
knowing there are storms that she must face on her own

And you stand, a lighthouse, the shore
as she becomes one with the sea
