Hello everyone Sydney Springfield here 🙉👋
Where do I start...... A day at the zoo with all my new mates was fantastic. I have to say Jeffrey giraffe was my favourite of the day. We saw elephants, a tiger, leopard, monkeys and orangutans. Too many to mention to be honest, we had a ball strolling the zoo and the sun came out so it was happy days! Visits to the many cafes for coffee and cake breaks, then off to see the bats that were flying free may i add and landed on my head! Of course we had to call in the shop and the Newsomes came home with a bag full of zoo goodies. We are shattered so its off to the pub for tea and home for a dip in the hottub later!. See you all soon, over and out 🤣

We all have that fab Friday feeling at Springfield, 😆 so let's get social!!!
We started the first of our new "resident projects" today. Stay tuned over the coming weeks for some special creativity sessions from art to food to music and more!! Hello 👋 Sydney Springfield here....
What can I say... its been a very busy and fun filled day exploring Chester 😊. First stop was the aquarium, I met a few new mates today. Mind you the shark wasn't too friendly he was a big snappy!!. Anyway I came home with Terry turtle and Olive octopus who are staying over for a few days.
We popped into Chester cathedral and it was amazing, they had lots to see from tapestries made by local artists to beautiful stained glass windows. We even had time to light a candle for our loved ones, then into the cafe for a coffee break and a browse in the souvenir shop.
Time then for a delicious meal out and home in time for a hottub session. What a day!!
Time for us all to chill ready for the zoo tomorrow.
Nite nite all 🐒🐳🐠🪸💙

Happy Thursday to all our Springfield friends 🧡
"Lets get active"was our motto today. Skittles and golf competitions got us all motivated for the day ahead. Ladies vs the Gents on the score board and we had a draw, well done everyone 👍 the concentration was amazing. We took a break for coffee club and a catch-up and back to have another couple of games of golf.
We had movie matinee in the cinema and lounges, room socials and 1 to 1 read and reminisce sessions. Music and local landmarks can evoke some amazing memories, conversation starters and engaging moments together.

Wellbeing Wednesday was all about relaxation, 1 to 1 engagement and memory exercise.
The hug bear gives the sense of comforting security, warmth and reassurance with every interaction. A relaxing and meaningful sensory 1 to 1 session enjoyed.
Our group activity took part in a cognitive quiz, memory exercises, written puzzles and group word association round. We stopped for refreshments, a natter amongst friends and back into a test your knowledge session.
Well done everyone....amazing!
This afternoon was time to sit back and chill, movies, nibbles and some social room visits.

Good evening to all our Springfield family and friends ❤️
A lovely day full of fun here, movie matinee followed by a firm favourite....prize bingo! Eyes down ready for them winning numbers!
Prizes collected and then a nice cup of tea and a slice of cake and a catch up.
Then onto 1 to 1 room visits to chat and share family news then time on our interaction table. Cognitive games, sensory sessions, comedy clips and lots of laughter. Happy days!

Move-it Monday at Springfield 🏓✨️🏆
Move it Mondays are all about keeping active, not just physically but also mentally. Such a fun packed morning participating in table tennis, certainly keeps us all on our toes! Followed by coffee and conversation club and then some 1 to 1 time with Teddy. Pet therapy visits around the home for cuddles and it was smiles all round! Time now for movies and relaxation in our cinema and lounges.... a perfect way to end our day!
