I’ll be talking all things skin cancer awareness, sharing what to look out for when it comes to moles and skin lesions, and why early detection is so important.

I’m here with Map My Mole and CryoPen and I’ll be doing treatments live throughout the day, giving you the opportunity to learn more about skin assessments, lesion monitoring, and treatment options for suitable benign skin concerns.

As a nurse and aesthetic practitioner, education and prevention have always been a huge part of what I do, so I’m really looking forward to being part of these conversations today.

Could you spot the signs of melanoma?

Melanoma is the most serious form of skin cancer and can develop from an existing mole or appear as a new mark on the skin.

One of the most important things you can do is know what’s normal for your skin and pay attention to changes.

Things to look out for:

• A mole that’s becoming uneven or asymmetrical
• Irregular or blurred borders
• Changes in colour
• An increase in size
• A mole that’s evolving over time
• Itching, bleeding or crusting
• Anything that simply doesn’t look right

The good news is that early detection can make a huge difference.

At TLC Aesthetics, I offer Map My Mole, a professional mole-mapping service designed to assess and monitor moles and skin lesions, giving you peace of mind and helping identify anything that may need further investigation.
