HOPS - Healing Opportunities Wellbeing Service HOPS - Healing Opportunities Wellbeing Service offers quality complementary therapies and wellbeing classes . Our singing group meets in Roker once a week.

"Feel better, Stay well " Special rates for carers and those on income-related benefits. HOPS charity works in Houghton-Le-Spring offering Holistic Treatments to our members at discounted rates. We run events, and social groups, and offer a network of other carers and people living with long-term health issues. We offer an online meditation class and yoga class, with more to be announced soon.

🎶 Singing for Fun is back! 🎶

After our summer break, we’re getting ready to start our friendly Singing for Fun sessions again!

Come along to Roker United Reformed Church every Wednesday, 12pm–1pm for an hour of singing, smiles, friendship and a wonderful mix of gospel, folk, world music and more.

No experience needed — just come along and have fun!

The suggested donation is £8 per session, which helps us continue running these sessions and supporting our wider community charity work.

CHAT & WRITE – FREE CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOP

Fancy trying something a little different? Come along to our next Chat & Write session and have some fun with words!

Our theme is “Cut, Keep, Rearrange” — using words and phrases from magazines, leaflets and printed text to create your own poems. No previous writing experience is needed, just bring your imagination! 💜

FREE HOLISTIC THERAPY SESSIONS ARE BACK IN HENDON SEPTEMBER 21st!

HOPS arre delighted to be bringing our free holistic therapy sessions back to Hendon in partnership with Back on the Map.

These sessions are available for unpaid carers, older adults, people living with long-term health conditions, and anyone facing difficult circumstances who could benefit from some time to focus on their wellbeing.

Each person can receive a free 30-minute treatment, delivered by our qualified therapists in a welcoming and supportive environment. Choose from:
💆 Back Massage
👣 Reflexology
🤲 Reiki
💆‍♀️ Indian Head Massage
