🏡💛Safety Tip: Preventing Falls at Home
Falls are one of the most common causes of injury for older adults, but many can be prevented with a few simple changes:
✅ Keep walkways clear of clutter and loose rugs
✅ Ensure rooms and hallways are well lit
✅ Wear supportive, non-slip footwear
✅ Use handrails on stairs and grab rails in bathrooms
✅ Keep frequently used items within easy reach
Taking a few minutes to make the home safer can help loved ones stay independent and confident for longer.

💧🌞 Stay Hydrated in the Hot Weather! 🌞💧
As temperatures rise, it's important for both our community care staff and service users to stay well hydrated and look after their health.
✅ Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don't feel thirsty.
✅ Carry a refillable water bottle when out in the community.
✅ Take regular breaks in shaded or cool areas when possible.
For care staff, staying hydrated helps maintain energy levels, concentration, and wellbeing while supporting others. For service users, keeping hydrated can help prevent dizziness, headaches, fatigue, and heat-related illnesses.
Let's all work together to stay safe, healthy, and hydrated during the warmer weather. 💙

We’re incredibly proud to officially introduce The Care and Support Group Wearside, now proudly our 5th CQC Registered Location 🎉

What an amazing journey it has already been over the last 5 months. CSG Wearside has gone from strength to strength, making a real difference and building something truly special within the community.

Leading the way is our fantastic Registered Manager, Christine Farmer, whose passion, dedication and leadership continue to drive the service forward every single day. Christine is brilliantly supported by the amazing Catherine and Chloe, and together they have created a strong, caring and committed team that we are so proud of.

This is only the beginning for CSG Wearside, and we cannot wait to see what the next 5 months will bring as the service continues to grow and succeed 💜

Well done to everyone involved, your hard work and commitment do not go unnoticed!
