This week, we want to shine a spotlight on our wonderful Patient Participation Group here at Sutterton Surgery 💙

Our PPG plays a vital role in strengthening the connection between our practice and our community. By sharing patient perspectives, offering constructive feedback, and supporting new ideas, they help us shape services that truly meet the needs of our patients.

MONDAY 25th May, Bank Holiday, we are closed.
Back open as normal again on Tuesday 26th.

Please ensure you order your repeat medication in plenty of time. For Dispensing patients please allow 5 full working days until you can collect your medication from us, alternatively you can wait until you have received a text message to inform you when to collect.

If you happen to require any medical attention when the Surgery is closed on the Bank Holiday then please call 111 (non-emergencies only) or 999 (emergencies only).

🌍👩‍⚕️ Happy World Family Doctor Day! 👨‍⚕️🌍

Today, 19 May, we celebrate and thank all the dedicated doctors especially our GPs Dr Yousaf, Dr Ibrahim, and our Locum's Dr Oladele, Dr Malik at Sutterton Surgery for the compassionate care, support, and commitment they provide to our patients and community every day. 💙

World Family Doctor Day is celebrated every year on 19 May to recognise the important role family doctors and GPs play in healthcare worldwide. It was established by the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA) in 2010.

Family doctors are often the first point of contact in healthcare — offering advice, reassurance, treatment, and continuity of care through every stage of life.

📢A little reminder for all patients📢

We’ve recently had several bank holidays, which meant the Dispensing/ Nomad team missed a number of dispensing days while the surgery was closed. We’re working hard to catch up and prepare everyone’s medication as quickly and safely as possible.

Please allow up to 5 full working days from placing your prescription/order for your medication to be dispensed and ready for collection — or wait until you receive a message from us confirming your medication is ready. Our Dispensing and Nomad team are working hard to meet these timescales.

We truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and kindness towards the team during busy periods 🙏

Asthma can usually be well controlled with the right support.

✅ Have your annual asthma review
✅ Use inhalers as prescribed
✅ Ask for your asthma action plan

From answering calls, admin and booking appointments to helping patients navigate services, their hard work keeps the surgery running smoothly.

Today, on International Nurses Day, we would like to say a huge thank you to all the incredible nurses across the NHS but especially to our Advanced Nurse Practitioner Amy, Practice Nurse Amanda and Healthcare Assistant Joanne at Sutterton Surgery 💙

Our nurses play such an important role in caring for our patients every single day. From running clinics, administering vaccinations, supporting long-term condition management, providing wound care, offering advice and reassurance, and being there during difficult times — their compassion, professionalism and dedication never go unnoticed.

We are so grateful for everything our nursing team does for our patients, our community, and our practice. Thank you 👏
