🌿 Out and About in Sutton Park 🌿

At Sutton Park Grange, we love nothing more than seeing our residents enjoying the fresh air, getting out and about and making the most of the beautiful area right on our doorstep. 💚

So, with our lovely Well-being Lead Ben behind the wheel of our minibus 🚌, we headed off to beautiful Sutton Park for a leisurely walk and some time enjoying the great outdoors. 🌳🌸

There’s something very special about getting out into the fresh air, enjoying a gentle stroll, having a chat, taking in the scenery and simply spending time together. ❤️

We’re so lucky to have Sutton Park right on our doorstep, giving us the perfect opportunity to enjoy little outings like this whenever we can.

And of course, a big thank you to Ben for getting us there safely and making sure our residents had a lovely time! 🥰🌿

🌸 A Little Corner of Sutton Park Grange 🌸

We really are so lucky at Sutton Park Grange to have such beautiful gardens and wonderful outdoor spaces for our residents to enjoy. 🌿💚

For those living on the ground floor, having a patio right outside their room is such a lovely extra ……a little space to make their own and enjoy throughout the seasons.

Our lovely Judith lives here with her husband and is so proud of her beautiful patio. 🌺 She takes great care of it, growing her own tomatoes and filling it with pretty flowers, including the most beautiful, delicate Cosmos. 🌸🍅

Judith gets such pleasure from looking after her plants and watching them grow, and she loves sharing her flowers with everyone. It’s clear just how much her little patio means to her …..it really is her own special corner of Sutton Park Grange. 💕

We loved spending a little time with Judith as she showed us around and told us all about her patio, her flowers and the things she enjoys growing. 🌿🌸

Well done, Judith , we think your garden is beautiful! ❤️

🌼 International Daffodil Day at Sutton Park Grange 🌼

On Friday, our residents had great fun getting out into our wonderful garden to plant daffodil bulbs for International Daffodil Day. 💛🌱

It was lovely to enjoy some fresh air, get our hands in the soil and spend time together outdoors. We’re already looking forward to next spring, when our beautiful daffodils will brighten up the garden and remind us of the lovely afternoon we had planting them. 🌼☀️

🌼 Join Us for International Daffodil Day at Sutton Park Grange 🌼

This year, to mark International Daffodil Day, we will be planting daffodil bulbs in our wonderful gardens at Sutton Park Grange, and we would love for you to join us.

If you are local and would like to lend a hand, or if you have children enjoying the school holidays and would like to bring them along, we would be delighted to welcome you. Together, we can plant hundreds of beautiful daffodil bulbs while raising awareness of the importance of cancer research, prevention, treatment and support.

There is something very special about planting for the future, and when spring arrives, our gardens will be filled with a wonderful display of golden daffodils for everyone to enjoy ……a lasting reminder of kindness, community and hope.

Please come along, meet our residents and team, and help us create something truly beautiful together. 🌼💛

💃☕️ Afternoon Tea Week with a Difference! ☕️💃

As it’s National Afternoon Tea Week, we decided that we should also be dancing! So yesterday afternoon, we transformed our lounge into our very own Strictly dance floor. ✨💃🕺

We were delighted to be joined by members of our local community and the lovely Emma, who came along to give us some ballroom dance instruction. It was so lovely to bring everyone together, enjoy the music and spend the afternoon dancing and having fun. ❤️

And, of course, there had to be afternoon tea! 🍰🫖 A huge thank you to Sam and our fabulous kitchen team for preparing such a delicious spread.

With the gorgeous weather, wonderful company, dancing and delicious treats, it was a truly lovely afternoon at Sutton Park Grange. 💕

💙 Help Us Make a Difference 💙

On Saturday 12th September, some of our wonderful team members and residents from Sutton Park Grange will be taking part in the Birmingham Memory Walk to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Every step we take is in support of those affected by dementia, and we’d love your help. If you’re able to make a donation, no matter how big or small, we would be incredibly grateful. Every contribution helps this wonderful charity continue its vital work.

There are two routes to choose from, so there’s something for everyone - a gentle 3.5km stroll or a slightly more challenging 5km walk.

Even better, if you’d like to put on your walking shoes and join us on the day, we’d be delighted to have you with us! The more the merrier - everyone is welcome.
