🏃‍♀️💜 Aimee IS RUNNING 10K FOR THE STROKE ASSOCIATION! 💜🏃‍♀️

We’re incredibly proud of our lovely admin lady, Aimee from Sutton Rose Care Home, who is taking on a 10K run in support of the Stroke Association. 💪

This cause means so much to all of us at Sutton Rose. We have seen first-hand the huge impact a stroke can have on people and their families, including some of our own residents. That’s why we would love our friends, families, colleagues and local community to get behind Aimee and help her raise as much as possible.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, can help support vital research, rehabilitation and services for people affected by stroke. ❤️

🧺 Step Back in Time at Sutton Rose — Laundry Day! 🧺

We’re continuing our Step Back in Time activities within our dementia community at Sutton Rose, and this time we opened the doors to our very own Laundry Room. 💕

Residents got involved with folding, sorting and ironing, enjoying familiar household tasks that have been part of everyday life for so many years.

These simple, familiar activities can bring back memories, encourage conversation and give residents the opportunity to take part in something that feels purposeful and recognisable — and, most importantly, to join in as much or as little as they choose. ✨

Our Step Back in Time sessions are all about creating meaningful moments through familiar experiences, and it was wonderful seeing everyone getting stuck into laundry day! 🥰🧺

💜 THIS MONDAY — Dementia Fundraiser Festival at Sutton Rose! 💜

It’s nearly here! 🎉

Join us this Monday, 24th August, from 11am–2pm at Sutton Rose Care Home for our Dementia Fundraiser Festival — a lovely day bringing residents, families, friends and our local community together. 🥰

We’ll have a live DJ, bouncy castle, local stalls, delicious food, games and entertainment for all ages, all while helping us raise funds and awareness for dementia support. 💜

🌸☕ Sutton Rose Friendship Café – Coffee Morning ☕🌸

Yesterday we held another of our lovely Sutton Rose Friendship Café Coffee Mornings, which we run on the second Tuesday of every month.

It was a wonderful morning filled with friendly faces, plenty of conversation, laughter and, of course, lots of tea and coffee! ☕🍰 Our coffee mornings are a great opportunity for people to come together, enjoy some company, catch up with friends and make new ones in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday and to everyone who helped make the morning possible. It’s always lovely to see people coming through the doors and enjoying time together. 💕🌹

We’re already looking forward to our next coffee morning and hope to see lots of familiar faces, as well as some new ones!

📅 Join us on the second Tuesday of every month for a cuppa, a chat and some good company.
