💙 How thoughtful and wonderful are our team at Marian House ?

Our lovely Tash, one of our Senior Healthcare Assistants, has brought in a keyboard, especially for Charles, knowing that he used to play the church organ every Sunday 🎹
Tash knows this part of Charles’s life and wanted to give him the opportunity to enjoy making music again 🎶

He might be a little rusty to begin with but those fingers will soon remember all those beautiful hymns and familiar tunes he used to play 🥰

It’s these little acts of kindness and thoughtfulness that make such a difference to the people we support. Thank you, Tash, for such a lovely gesture 💕👏

There were numbers to mark, eyes glued to the caller and plenty of concentration as our people got stuck into a good game of Bingo 🥰

Of course, it’s not just about winning the prizes - it’s about the laughter, the company and making memories along the way ❤️

💗🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness Day at Marian House 🎀💗

Today, we wore our pink with pride and pinned on our pink ribbons to show our support for everyone affected by breast cancer 💕

We spent time talking about the words we associate with cancer survivors and those currently fighting their battle. Words like brave, lucky, iron maidens, strong, determined, hero, champion and warrior were all mentioned. 🌸

Every word represents a story, a journey, a battle or a reason to celebrate. Behind every pink ribbon is a person, a family and a community touched by cancer.

Today was a lovely reminder of the strength of the human spirit, the importance of early awareness, and the power of standing together 💗

Sending love to everyone who has faced breast cancer, is going through treatment, or is supporting someone they love. You are in our thoughts 🎀💕

🌧️ After the last two days of absolute miserable weather, Basil arrived today sporting his raincoat, looking like he’d had quite enough of this rain ☔️

But there was THE BIG NEWS of our award to share with our four-legged manager… 🏆🐶
Basil was absolutely delighted! Although, knowing Basil, he’s probably wondering why it took everyone so long to recognise his excellent management skills 🤣🐾

He’d like to thank all his adoring fans, the people who provide his cuddles and of course, the staff who keep everything running while he supervises from the nearest comfy lap 🐶❤️

We had not one, but THREE fabulous reasons to celebrate today - our Care Home of the Year win 🏆 Mrs B’s birthday 🎂 and a truly spectacular afternoon of entertainment from the amazing Miss Allie Ivy 🎤✨

WOW! What a voice - absolutely angelic 😇💖 Allie treated us to a beautiful selection of songs from the musicals, filling Marian House with wonderful music, smiles and plenty of feel-good moments 🎶

A birthday, an award-winning celebration and West End-worthy vocals… what more could we ask for?! 🥰

A huge thank you to Miss Allie Ivy for making our afternoon so special, and happy birthday to our lovely Mrs B ❤️🎂
