✨🍪 Sweet treats at Marian House ✨🍪
The day started with cookie dough making and everyone had their own delicious ideas. Some opted for creamy white chocolate chips, while others stayed loyal to the classic milk chocolate favourite. 🍫
While the cookies were baking, there was time for a lively game of Co****le. Then came the best part — enjoying the freshly baked cookies! The irresistible aroma drifting through the home was simply too tempting. Warm, homemade, and straight from the oven, they were the perfect reward after a fun-filled day 🍪❤️

Balloon tennis got surprisingly competitive at Marian House today with Louise 🎈🎾
While some players embraced the traditional racket-and-balloon approach, others clearly decided rackets were merely a suggestion and went freestyle instead 😄
Mrs B and Mrs C looked like seasoned doubles partners, expertly tag-teaming and keeping everyone else on their toes. Whether it was skill, strategy, or sheer determination, we're not entirely sure—but the rest of the players certainly had their work cut out for them!
Lots of laughs, plenty of balloon saves, and a fantastic time had by all. Who knew a balloon could bring out such fierce sporting spirit? 😊

🎉 Happy 70th Birthday, Mrs M 🎂💐
What a lovely afternoon celebrating this special milestone. Mrs M was so surprised when we brought out her birthday cake, and there wasn't a dry eye in the room as she became a little emotional at the wonderful gesture.
After that, it was time to celebrate in style! Friends gathered together, the music started and the lounge soon filled with smiling faces. It was heartwarming to see so many up dancing and enjoying the occasion at our lovely home, Marian House

🏀 This afternoon we enjoyed some gentle exercise with a relaxed game of basketball.
The session focused on hand-eye coordination, movement, and keeping arms and shoulders active, while making sure everyone stayed comfortable in the warm weather. Nothing too energetic — just light activity at a pace that suited everyone.
We’ve been working hard to keep the communal areas cool, allowing everyone to stay active safely while still enjoying time together ❤️

🐾 Tail Wagging Thursday at Marian House 🐾
Basil arrived bright and early today to squeeze in his weekly shift before the weather turns into 'too hot to fluff' conditions ☀️🐶
After completing his very important duties — including cuddles, corridor sniffs, and distributing smiles to absolutely everyone — Basil moved on to his specialist role in Quality Assurance.
Today’s inspections included:
🛏️ Bedroom safety checks
🛏️ Mattress bounce testing
🛏️ Pillow softness investigations
🛏️ Ensuring every room met the official 'good for naps' standard
We’re pleased to report that Basil approved several mattresses… after personally testing them with a quick lie down and a dramatic sigh. One bed may now officially belong to him.
Another successful shift from Marian House’s hardest working (and furriest) team member 🐾❤️

A little afternoon of sweetness 🧁🎶
Mixing up cupcakes earlier and temperatures low enough to survive without melting into the buttercream!!
Then treated to some beautiful singing and guitar playing from our lovely relatives, Eve and her husband, thank you🙏🏼

🎉 Bingo morning fun at Marian House today 🎉
Eyes down, dabbers ready, and plenty of laughs all round 😄
With the warm weather sticking around, we’re keeping everyone nice and cool with:
🪟 Windows closed
🕶️ Blinds down
🌀 Fans on
🥤 Extra drinks trolleys making the rounds
🍦 And of course… ice creams for everyone!
Safe to say the Nobbly Bobbly was the star of the show today 🍦😂 Everyone loves a Nobbly Bobbly! ❤️

Fun in the sun at Marian House ☀️🌴
With the sun shining, it was time for SPF, parasols, cold drinks, and ice creams all round! 🍦🥤
A huge thank you to Michelle and Courtney for treating everyone and to the team helping make the day extra special. Smiles all around and lots of happy memories made in the sunshine 💛
