Meet the team: Callum
Callum started work with us here at Charles Morris Optometrists in 2012 working Saturdays and in school holidays to get experience while he studied. He attended the University of Manchester to study Optometry and he graduated with Honours in 2016.

Callum then re-joined the family business for his 'pre-registration' year, supervised by Tony. On achieving this qualification, Callum sought to get experience of the wider industry and practiced in Staffordshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire until 2022 when he returned to the family practice full time.

Callum has additional qualifications in: Retinopathy imaging, CUES?PEARS?MECS (Community urgent eye care) and Cataract.

His focus outside of work is his young family.

Meet the team: Chris
Chris has been in the optical industry for over 20 years, he started in a prescription house learning how to cut edge and fit prescription lenses by hand and moved on to operating lens edging and surfacing machines. Chris has worked for Scrivens, Boots, Specsavers and Vision Express covering various roles, lab technician, lab management and optical assistant. He now joins the team as the store manager.

Meet The Team: Tony
Tony qualified to join the College Of Optometrists in 1983 having graduated in Optometry at Manchester University in 1982, Fulfilling an ambition started at a school careers evening when he was 14 years old. after 20 years in optometry Tony stepped into owning his own business in 2006, Charles Morris Optometrists. Being an optician never became mundane for Tony and his enthusiasm for the profession always shows, both of his children became optometrists, he is always happy to look after your eye sight and is delighted that his children will be the same. He is part of the local optical committee and is looking into volunteering with a team providing eye care to the homeless once he retires in June.
