A small cut on your foot that used to heal in days is still there after two weeks. That is worth paying attention to.

Healing runs on blood supply. Every scab, every closed graze, is built by blood carrying what the skin needs to repair itself. When circulation to the feet is reduced, the same small cut that once healed quietly can sit open far longer, and an open patch of skin is a door.

Here is the part people miss. Slow healing is not you being careless or run down. It is often a message about blood flow, and it is a message worth acting on early rather than waiting to see.

So use a simple rule. A break in the skin on your foot that is not clearly better within one to two weeks gets shown to your foot care team, not watched for another fortnight.

Hmmm.....well we think Jo is ok, and hope she returns next week as the little workers have not received their weekly crumbs.....typical. Even Ady has eaten all the Orange Cakes and not left us any. Come back Jo please.
