We all can feel this sometimes, feeling like you’re tired of everything and encountering set backs and obstacles and feeling like nothing comes easy or your efforts just don’t seem to make a difference.

Not everyone will return the love you give. Not everyone will match your effort and not everyone will appreciate your kindness.
But that doesn’t make your kindness worthless. Because what you give to the world says more about your character than what the world gives back to you.

Sometimes life can feel like it’s beating you down! But keep being genuine. Keep being kind. Keep having a good heart.

The right people will recognize it and you’ll never regret being a good person.

🚨 What’s in your injector’s emergency kit? 🚨

When choosing an aesthetics practitioner, it’s not just about beautiful results—it’s about knowing you’re in safe hands.

Can your injector tell you what these are in my emergency kit bag?

As well as the standard hyularonadaise for dissolving filler and adrenaline for allergic reaction, here’s what’s I like to carry in addition, because everything is fine, until it’s not!

Here I have
✔️ Airway adjuncts
✔️ Bag Valve Mask (BVM)
✔️ Pulse oximeter to monitor heart rate and oxygen
✔️ Emergency equipment designed to help manage an airway and any other medical conditions if the unexpected happens.

Aesthetic treatments are very safe when performed correctly, but every responsible practitioner should be prepared for emergencies—not just hope they never happen.

As a registered paramedic, patient safety is at the heart of everything I do. My emergency kit is fully stocked, regularly checked, and I have the training and experience to recognise and respond if an emergency ever arises.

✨ Before booking, ask yourself:
• Does your injector have a fully equipped emergency kit?
• Do they actually know how to use every item in it?
• Would they be confident managing a medical emergency while waiting for further help if needed?

Because your safety should never be an afterthought. 💗

💉✨Positive Aspiration = Your Safety Check! ✨💉

Ever heard injectors talk about “aspirating”?
Here’s the quick, must-know breakdown on what is a positive aspiration?

And injectors, have you had one and know how to deal with one if you see it?

This positive aspiration was from the Piriform fossa, a high risk area to the side of the nose. Had I not done safety checks (3 times!) I would’ve injected into a blood vessel with devastating problems for the client. The angular artery runs in this space which supplies the ophthalmic region and could’ve caused blindness.
It’s when you gently pull back on the syringe plunger before injecting... and blood appears in the syringe.

However there was no need to panic because my segregate check using aspiration did its job!!

What does positive aspiration mean?

You’re in a blood vessel NOT where filler or toxin should go.

What do we do?

• STOP immediately
• Reposition the needle
• Re-check before injecting

So how do we aspirate?
1. Insert needle to the correct depth
2. Gently pull back on the plunger for a few seconds
3. Watch closely...
No blood = safer to proceed
Blood = reposition!

Why does it matter?
Because injecting into a vessel can lead to serious complications. Aspiration is one of the ways we reduce risk and protect our clients.
It’s not foolproof - but it’s an important part of a safe,
skilled injector’s technique.

Bottom line:
Aspiration = pause, check, protect.
