Breathe in. Breathe out.

My favourite month is here and instead of feeling energised and inspired, I find I’m feeling slower, as though everything feels that little more effort.

There are so many variables to well being aren’t there? And many wellness coaches forget about that but, my lived experience is that, your family, your home, the weather and so many other factors , all contribute to your wellbeing.

Sometimes your soul is asking for less action and more compassion. And that too is ok.

We’re human. We ebb, we flow. And some of us feel so deeply…

SUNDAY
Sometimes life takes you down a path you’re not ready to walk. One filled with fear, anxiety and dread. And it’s uncomfortable and it strips you back but somewhere in that discomfort, something else happens too. You realise what matters, what you’ll tolerate, who makes you feel safe and who you’ll walk through fire for. The riches I want are more time, love and kindness. For me, it’s not about having more stuff, if anything I find myself wanting less and less. I’ve come to realise that a peaceful heart that feels safe and loved, is worth more than anything money can buy.

I believe that we’re guided even when we can’t see where the path is leading and maybe faith is in, not having all the answers but choosing to believe that there is something greater walking beside us.

Life has a funny way of showing us what’s important. And each time it does I’m reminded,

Love is what remains.

Everything else is just scenery.

Yes, this is me putting a crown on my own head yet again. 👑😂 But in my defence, it is August…

August has always felt so special to me.

It’s my birthday month, of course, but it’s so much more than that. It’s the month that reminds me of long, carefree days with my boys when they were little. No school runs, no rushing around, just making memories, soaking up sunshine and squeezing every last drop out of summer. The best of times.

I feel like August softens everything. The warm evenings, the golden light, people seem kinder, smiles come easier and life feels just a little less frantic.

Maybe that’s why I love the Lions Gate energy too. Not because I think I have to become someone new but, because it reminds me to remember who I already am.

So yes, I’m placing the crown on my own head.

Not because I think I’m a queen or someone above anyone else, but because I’m finally learning that it’s okay to honour myself too.

These are a few of the wishes I’m carrying into this beautiful month. Nothing fancy. Just little reminders of the life I want to keep creating.

Here’s to a month full of sunshine, joy, miracles, deep belly laughs and remembering that you were never meant to shrink. And if like me, you’re lucky enough to hold the littlest hands and witness the most precious, tiny smiles, treasure them, the most.
