While I'm off next week we're having some work done. On Tuesday and Wednesday we're having new double glazed windows and door to try and keep some draughts out this winter. We'll still be open but you may need to use the tradesman's entrance round the back 👍

3 years ago today and it was my last day working in a practice I had been in for nearly 10 years. I had just finished testing an ophthalmologist I worked with during COVID and I'd said I was leaving. 'You should set up your own practice' they said. 5 minutes later I looked on Zoopla and I saw that our corner of the square had become available so I emailed and messaged my wife. Happy eclipse day - be like the libertines and don't look back into the sun! While we try to be child friendly, our shelves are not for climbing. The next budding Edmund Hillary who yoinks a shelf off the wall will be given a quadruple espresso from Refinery Coffeehouse & Roasters and taught some words that will make Samuel L Jackson blush 😂

'No regerts' - I remember seeing this tattoo doing the rounds a few years ago and took it as a bit of ironic amusement. We have since adopted it as our family motto where no regerts means 'this is probably a bad idea, but I'm going to do it anyway'. Two years ago today we were handed the keys for our little corner of Killay. The night before was our last chance to back out and we had a family meeting where we decided we were going to no regerts it. Thanks to the support of my family this no regerts decision has been one I haven't regretted.
