🎾🍓 Wimbledon Weekend at Burrows Hall 🍓🎾

What a wonderful weekend we have had celebrating all things Wimbledon here at Burrows Hall!

Our home was beautifully decorated with tennis-themed displays, and both residents and staff embraced the occasion, with staff dressing to impress in their Wimbledon whites and tennis attire. 👒🎾

Residents enjoyed a delicious homemade buffet complete with fresh salads, homemade scones served with cream and jam, and of course the Wimbledon favourite – strawberries and cream! 🍓🍰

The celebrations were made extra special with refreshing glasses of Pimm’s, sparkling strawberry bellinis and prosecco, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the true Wimbledon atmosphere. 🥂🍓

A huge thank you to our amazing kitchen team- Annmarie, Sarah, Ceri and Jackie - not forgetting all the staff for their hard work in creating such a special event for our residents. The smiles, laughter and sense of togetherness made it a truly memorable weekend.

🍫🍬 World Chocolate Day at Burrows Hall – Tuesday’s Sweet Celebration! 🍬🍫

On Tuesday, we celebrated all things chocolate at Burrows Hall! From delicious chocolate treats and themed activities to enjoying the magic of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, it was a wonderful day filled with smiles, laughter and plenty of sweet memories. 🍫✨

A huge thank you to Aga, who truly transformed Burrows Hall into W***y Wonka’s dream factory! Your creativity, hard work and attention to detail made the day extra special for both our residents and staff. 💜🍭🍫

There may have been a few chocolatey smiles and sticky fingers along the way, but seeing our residents enjoying themselves made it all worthwhile.

With the warm weather we’re currently experiencing, we want to reassure all families that the comfort, health, and wellbeing of your loved ones at Burrows Hall remains our top priority. ☀️💙

Please don’t worry — we have a range of measures in place to help everyone stay cool and comfortable throughout the day:

❄️ Curtains are kept closed to help keep rooms shaded and cool
👕 Residents are encouraged to wear light, comfortable clothing
🥤 Regular cold and icy drinks are available throughout the day to keep everyone hydrated
🍭 Unlimited ice lollies are on hand for a refreshing treat
🌀 Fans are in use around the home to maintain airflow and comfort

Our team is closely monitoring everyone and making sure they are comfortable, hydrated, and safe during the hotter days.

We’re getting ready for a deliciously fun day here at Burrows Hall Nursing Home as we celebrate World Chocolate Day on Tuesday, July 7th! 🍬🍩🍪

Our residents will be enjoying a day full of sweet treats and happy memories with:

🍫 Fun chocolate activities
🎥 A cosy screening of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory

It’s all about bringing smiles, creating special moments, and of course enjoying a little bit of chocolate! 🍫❤️

We had the most wonderful visit from Animal Cwtch at Burrows Hall and it was truly a joy for everyone involved 🐾💛

Residents, staff, and visitors all loved meeting the beautiful animals, enjoying cuddles, smiles, and lots of special moments.

These visits bring so many benefits, sparking memories, encouraging interaction, and lifting spirits in a way that only animals can. It was heartwarming to see the positive impact on our residents’ wellbeing.

A huge thank you to Animal Cwtch for such a lovely experience. We can’t wait to welcome you back to Burrows Hall again soon! 🐶🐰🦔

We’re excited to share that Animal Cwtch will be visiting us at Burrows Hall on 24th April at 3pm 🐾

This will be a calm, interactive and therapeutic experience where everyone can spend time with a variety of wonderful animals in a relaxed setting.

Families and friends are very welcome to come along and join us for this special visit.

What a wonderful time we had today! 💃🎶

It was so lovely to see all the staff and residents dancing and enjoying the music with Chris. He was fantastic as always and brought so much joy and energy to everyone in the room.

Music truly is therapy to the mind, and today was a perfect reminder of how powerful it can be in bringing people together, lifting spirits, and creating special moments.

If any family members would like to come along and join in next time Chris is back, please just ask us — the more the merrier!

We started the day with chocolate treats and hot cross buns to chew.
The morning was sweet, the table bright, with smiles the whole day through,
Then came a lovely lamb roast lunch, a feast we all looked forward to.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mums at Burrows Hall Nursing Home 🌸💐

Today we celebrated you with a delicious homemade Sunday dinner — beautifully cooked lamb followed by a classic Bakewell tart, lovingly prepared by our very own Sarah. She always takes such pride in creating homemade meals, and today’s was truly special and enjoyed by everyone.

A big thank you as well to our amazing staff who have spent their Mother’s Day here at the home, making sure our residents felt loved, celebrated, and cared for.

Wishing all our mums a day filled with warmth, smiles, and appreciation. You are all truly special. 💖
