Before you rush into the weekend, I would like to invite you to pause for a moment.

What has this week asked you to carry?

Perhaps it was a difficult conversation, a decision you kept postponing, a wave of grief that arrived unexpectedly or the pressure of looking capable while feeling stretched underneath.

You do not have to solve everything tonight.

I often find that the first meaningful step is simply recognising what has been taking up space inside you.

Try completing this sentence:

“This week, I needed more…”

Rest? Reassurance? Clarity? Support? Permission to say no?

Your answer may tell you something important. 💙

One of the quietest fears I hear around trauma support is:

“What if I lose control?”

You may worry that hypnotherapy means being unconscious, revealing something you do not want to share or being pushed into memories you are not ready to revisit.

That is not how I work.

You remain aware throughout the session. You can speak, pause or stop at any time. You are not handing control over to me.

I adapt every session around the person sitting in front of me. I do not follow a rigid script, and I do not expect you to tell me every detail before our work can begin.

Where appropriate, I may also use BLAST Technique or EMDR as part of trauma-focused support.

Your safety is not something you have to earn. It is central to how I work. 🤍

Nothing is obviously wrong.

Your life may still look familiar. The same home, the same routines and many of the same people.

Yet something inside you has shifted.

What once felt meaningful may now feel strangely distant. You may be grieving an old identity while sensing that a new one has not fully arrived.

Transitions are not always loud. Sometimes they begin as a quiet inner knowing that you can no longer live in quite the same way.

In my therapy room, I create space for the psychological and spiritual parts of your experience to belong together.

You do not have to dismiss your intuition to be taken seriously by me. ✨

You know what needs doing.

You may even know exactly how to do it.

But instead of starting, you find yourself checking emails, rewriting your list or researching something you already understand.

Then the self-criticism begins:

“Why can’t I just get on with it?”

In my work, I recognise that task paralysis is not always about laziness, motivation or discipline.

It can happen when pressure, perfectionism, emotional overwhelm and fear of getting it wrong are all running in the background.

It is a little like an operating system with too many processes open at once. The task may look simple from the outside, but internally, your system is overloaded.

That is why I do not simply offer another productivity technique.

I help you explore the deeper patterns beneath the shutdown, using an adaptive approach shaped around your individual mind and circumstances.

Support can begin with curiosity rather than criticism. 🧠

“You’re so calm. Nothing ever seems to bother you.”

You smile, because explaining the truth feels harder.

Inside, you are noticing every change in tone. Every pause. Every movement in the room.

You are preparing for something to go wrong, even when everything seems fine.

This does not mean you are dramatic or overly sensitive. It may mean your nervous system learnt that staying alert was once the safest thing to do.

Trauma-focused support does not have to involve forcing you to relive every painful detail. You remain in control, and the work can move at a pace that feels safe for you.

Yvonne welcomes complex experiences with warmth, patience and no judgement. 🤍

Letting go does not erase what mattered

Letting go can sound like forgetting.

Forgetting the person.
Forgetting the dream.
Forgetting the version of life you thought you would have.

But true release does not ask you to pretend something never mattered.

It allows you to honour what was, recognise what it taught you and loosen the emotional weight you have been carrying.

You can keep the wisdom without carrying the pain in the same way.

You can remember without remaining stuck.

You can move forward without betraying the person you used to be.

Sometimes, letting go is simply choosing to stop asking an old chapter to give you a different ending. ✨

Through personalised hypnotherapy, Yvonne supports people experiencing grief, identity changes, relationship patterns and deeper life transitions. Psychological and spiritual experiences are welcomed into the same safe, non-judgemental space.

You remain in control throughout the process, and the work moves at a pace that feels right for you.

Why letting go can feel so difficult

“I know I need to move forward, so why am I still holding on?”

It is a question many people ask themselves during periods of change.

You may understand logically that a relationship, role, identity or chapter has ended. But another part of you may still be searching for certainty, meaning or closure.

This is because letting go is not simply a decision made by the conscious mind.

We can remain emotionally connected to old experiences through familiar beliefs, protective patterns and fears about what comes next.

Even an uncomfortable situation can feel safer than the unknown because it is familiar.

This does not mean you are weak or unwilling to change. It may mean that a deeper part of you is trying to protect you. 💙

Yvonne’s sessions are not scripted. The work is shaped around you, how you are feeling on the day and what feels safe to explore.

Hypnotherapy can help you understand what may be sitting beneath the difficulty of letting go, without judgement or pressure.

**When life no longer fits in the same way**

There can be a strange moment in life when everything looks familiar, but no longer feels the same.

The routines are still there.
The people may still be there.
You may even be doing all the things you once wanted.

And yet, something inside you quietly asks, “Who am I now?”

Life transitions are not always marked by one dramatic event. Sometimes they begin as restlessness, sadness, disconnection or a sense that an old version of you is beginning to fall away.

That does not mean you are lost.

It may mean you are changing.

Letting go is not about rejecting who you were. It is about making space for who you are becoming. ✨

Hypnotherapy can offer a calm, supportive space to explore the beliefs, emotions and repeating patterns that may be keeping you connected to a chapter that has already ended.

You do not need to have all the answers before you begin.

Maybe you are not “too much”.

Maybe your system has simply been carrying too much.

The deadlines. The decisions. The constant switching. The effort of remembering everything. The guilt when work takes over. The frustration when your emotions arrive faster than you can explain them.

In my work, I meet people with ADHD who have spent years believing emotional overwhelm means they are not resilient enough.

But often, it is an overloaded internal system trying to manage far more than anyone else can see.

I do not believe change has to begin with forcing yourself to be calmer.

I believe it can begin with curiosity.

What is this reaction protecting?
What pressure has been building?
What deeper pattern keeps being activated?

When we begin to understand the roots together, you can start responding differently, without fighting yourself at every turn. ✨

I offer personalised hypnotherapy for people whose experiences feel layered, complex or difficult to fit into a standard approach. My sessions are adaptive, unscripted and shaped around what you need on the day.

Perhaps you have heard of hypnotherapy but still find yourself wondering what actually happens in a session.

Will you be asleep?
Will you lose control?
Will you have to talk about everything that has happened?

These are completely understandable questions.

Hypnotherapy is a focused, relaxed state where you remain aware and in control. You can hear what is being said, respond if you wish, and decide what feels comfortable throughout the session.

The aim is not to erase memories or force change. It is to create a calm space where we can gently explore the deeper patterns connected to thoughts, emotions and behaviours.

Hypnotherapy may support people who are experiencing anxiety, overthinking, low confidence, sleep difficulties, emotional patterns or the lasting effects of difficult experiences. Every person is different, which is why my sessions are adaptive rather than scripted.

You do not need to have all the right words. You do not need to relive everything. We begin with where you are, at a pace that feels safe for you. ✨
