I am a postnatal doula/carer and I provide practical and emotional, non-judgmental help and support for parents and babies. I charge £13.50 per hour and I work throughout Swindon and the surrounding area.

Old podcast episode of Rob and Josh on Parenting Hell saying how they have wide feet and where to buy shoes….then I just realised NOOOO we don’t have wide feet we have NORMAL feet and all the other footwear is for narrow feet or people that want to squish their toes for the sake of fashion 😱🤦‍♀️🥴think about it…

Gosh I’m shocked 😱 schools by law don’t have to give out homework!!

Look at these comments on the instagram of the Parenting Hell podcast I listen to. So why would some schools set homework then?!?

I personally think that there should be no homework apart from possibly a bit of reading so parents can see how child is doing but once they can read properly that homework should stop. Also times table as that is the best and most useful maths ever. Then revision when in senior school.

If you’re trying to control sugar cravings for you or your child please read this! It’s important to get a balance of carbs/fibre/protein.

As a vegan I just wish vegan meals out were more balanced but at least I can control this at home.

From being a sugar ‘craver’ for so many years to really cutting down in the last few years to rarely having any…yes it’s possible, I’m living proof! In the last week I’ve only had anything sugary 3 times and this is why 😱

So I don’t really crave sugary things anymore, I just fancy it sometimes and then it’s a true ‘treat’ and I don’t deny myself. BUT like today for example and last Monday after having lunch out, both times within a few hours I felt I really wanted something sweet. Also after I had a curry meal out yesterday.

Then I realised why, it’s because the meals I have out on Mondays and the quite sweet curry (all basically just veg) were all very carby and severely lacking in protein which I know is the thing that fills you up more and actually stops sweet cravings!

Oh well, I’ll have to carry a small protein shake with me from now on 👍 I’ll report back as to how that works ☺️

No one seems to have time these days to cook healthy meals from scratch yet many years ago our ancestors found the time, no online shopping or Hello Fresh for them.
Husband wife both worked long hours but it seems that nowadays a lot of people put so much else before their and their children’s health 🧐
