Mental Health Awareness Week is a reminder that care is about so much more than physical support.

A friendly face, a conversation over a cup of tea, a little reassurance, or simply knowing someone is there can make such a difference to a person’s wellbeing.

In care, we see every day how important connection, compassion, and kindness truly are — not just for our clients, but for families and carers too.

We're here whenever you need it.

Not everyone needs full-time care to stay independent.

Sometimes it’s just a little extra support—like getting to appointments, having someone by your side, and getting home safely.

Our friendly team can help with:
• Hospital or GP visits
• Companionship during appointments
• Transport and peace of mind for families

A small bit of support can make a big difference, get in touch to see how we can help.

Did you know that The Royal Osteoporosis Society is Walfinch's official charity partner! That's means we've been busy raising money and spreading awareness around osteoporosis.

The wider Walfinch network recently undertook a 5K walk to raise vital funds to support the work this fantastic charity does.

Better bone health = better lives. If you'd like to support our fundraising efforts you can donate here:

💙💛 Quarterly Meeting Update 💛💙

Earlier today, members of the Swindon Dementia Action Alliance came together for our quarterly meeting.

It was another positive opportunity for us to reflect on what we’ve achieved, share ideas, and look ahead to what we have planned for the next few months. As always, conversations were guided by our shared commitment to supporting people living with dementia and helping to make Swindon a caring, dementia‑aware community.

We were also delighted to welcome Nigel and Gill to their first meeting as our Community Voice. As a couple living first-hand with dementia in our community, their lived experience and insight are incredibly valuable, and we are proud to have them involved in shaping our work going forward.

A huge thank you to everyone who gives their time, energy and passion - our volunteers, partners, and supporters - your contributions continue to make a real difference.

Together, we’re working to ensure that people living with dementia can continue to live normal lives, stay connected, and feel valued within our community.

If you’d like to get involved or find out more about what we do, please get in touch: [email protected] 💙💛

Did you know we can also provide live in care? Choosing care for a loved one is never easy—but live-in care offers a compassionate, flexible solution that keeps people where they feel happiest: at home.

✨ Why choose live-in care?

• Comfort of familiar surroundings
• One-to-one personalised support
• Greater independence and dignity
• Companionship and emotional wellbeing
• Peace of mind for families

Live-in care isn’t just about support—it’s about enhancing quality of life, maintaining routines, and ensuring your loved one feels safe, valued, and cared for every single day.

Because home is more than a place—it’s a feeling.
