Every week I receive lots of referrals from a wide range of practitioners, podiatrists, and foot health professionals — thank you for keeping me busy.

I’d love to explore whether we could work together slightly differently in the future. Sometimes there are key pieces of information that would be really useful to know before a patient books an appointment. This isn’t a criticism at all — it’s simply about finding a smoother and more effective way of working together for everyone involved.

I’ve been thinking about holding a practitioner evening to demonstrate the foot scan and Phits+ orthoses service, explain how I work, and discuss the types of cases where an additional opinion or different approach may help. Would this be something people would be interested in attending?

I want to reassure everyone that I’m not looking to take away anyone’s routine work. This is purely about collaboration and supporting each other professionally. Sometimes when a case becomes challenging, it can help to have another opinion. Sometimes nothing needs to change at all — you just need reassurance and confidence that you’re already on the right track.

Please send me a private message and we can have a chat.

If you’ve been dealing with recurring ingrown nails, repeated infections, or multiple courses of antibiotics that only offer temporary relief, you’re not alone. For many people, the natural shape or growth pattern of the nail means discomfort keeps returning—affecting your comfort, confidence, and day-to-day activities.

Nail surgery, performed by an experienced podiatrist, offers a safe, effective, and permanent solution. Using a local anaesthetic to ensure your comfort throughout, the procedure is straightforward and designed to resolve the problem at its source. It can permanently treat painful ingrown nails, correct problematic nail shapes, and address certain fungal nail conditions—so you’re no longer relying on short-term fixes.

This treatment is also suitable for children who experience persistent ingrowing nails and repeated infections, helping to prevent the cycle of discomfort and antibiotics at an early stage.

There’s no need for lengthy waiting times or prior GP appointments. From your first consultation, I will guide you through every step, providing clear advice and a personalised treatment plan focused on long-term results.

My aim is to restore comfort and confidence—so you or your family can get back to enjoying everyday activities, from walking and travelling to sport and play, without the distraction of ongoing nail pain.

Professional foot care, every step of the way.

Swift treatment is for stubborn verrucas and gives real results. I’m so pleased to see the back of this one 🥳🥳🥳 (although would happily have the delightful customer back 😂)

I would have to describe my experience with getting my foot scanned as uniquely interesting. With welcoming service from the podiatrist, every detail was described in a simple informative way to explain what it did and it’s purpose. This involved, finding where pressure was going on each part of my foot, where my centre of mass was leaning as well as finding where my foot needed support and walking.. I was intrigued to discover how each foot was scanned is in free 3-D imaging so that the computer software could use the image and the clinical information to determine the perfect shaped to provide comfort and support from inside my shoe. Only taking a few minutes, the scanner managed to find all the information it needed by standing and walking over it. If it’s standing for hours or walking for miles overall, I’d recommend this to anyone who feels they need greater support or relief from aching in their day-to-day lives.

A great pathway into a rewarding career

Let’s talk podiatry apprenticeships...

A Podiatry Degree Apprenticeship lets you earn while you learn, combining paid work with university study and hands-on clinical experience.

Why choose a podiatry apprenticeship?
✔️ Paid job from day one; you’re part of the team
✔️ No tuition fees (covered by your employer & the government)
✔️ A full BSc degree in Podiatry
✔️ Hands-on learning, clinical placements & real patients
✔️ Eligible for HCPC registration when you qualify
✔️ Same career opportunities as a traditional degree

How long does it take?
• 3 years full-time
• 4.5 years part-time

What’s the study split?
• 40% in the workplace
• 60% at university

Where can you study?
Brighton | Coventry | Huddersfield | Northampton | Plymouth | Salford | Sunderland | Wolverhampton
(More universities are expected to offer this route in future.)

How do you apply?
You’ll need to be employed by an organisation willing to support your apprenticeship - often the NHS, and sometimes private podiatry practices.
Vacancies are listed on the government apprenticeship website and the RCPod jobs board.

Good to know:
As a paid employee, you won’t be eligible for a student loan, so it’s important to plan to live on your salary.

A different route. The same qualification. A career that makes a real difference.

Inspire movement. Choose podiatry.
