☀️ Stay alert during hot weather – know the signs of heatstroke ☀️

As temperatures rise, it is important to keep an eye on yourself, your family, friends and vulnerable neighbours.

Signs of heat exhaustion can include:

💧 Excessive sweating and thirst
🤕 Headache, dizziness or weakness
🤢 Feeling sick or being sick
💓 Fast breathing or a rapid heartbeat
🦵 Muscle cramps
🌡️ A high temperature

Heat exhaustion can develop into heatstroke, which is a medical emergency. Warning signs can include confusion, hot skin that is not sweating, difficulty breathing, seizures or loss of consciousness. Call 999 immediately if you think someone may have heatstroke.
