I’ve been a little quieter on here than usual over the last few days, but I am still here 🤍

I’ve just got some personal things happening at the moment which need a little more of my time and attention.

I’m doing my very best to keep the shop open as normal, 10–4 Monday to Saturday, but over the next few days there may be the odd occasion when I need to close unexpectedly or change the hours slightly.

I’ll always pop an update on here if anything changes, so it’s worth checking before making a special journey.

For now though, the door is open, the candles are burning and I’m here. And as always, thank you for supporting my little shop — it means more than you probably realise, particularly at the moment. 🤍

Someone mentioned to me last week that last time I had spoken about my opening hours I wasn’t quite decided . Well three months in I’ve been opening Monday to Saturday 10-4 .
I’ve got quite a large pour of candles to do over the next few weeks so you may find me working slightly later as with the heatwave it’s definitely going to effect what I can do in normal hours .
If you are passing pop in for a nosey .. I usually tell visitors to have a sniff around which for some reason people find amusing 🤷🏻‍♂️

Saturday in the shop and I’ve got a candle making workshop this morning, so Lyddie is coming in to hold the fort downstairs while we’re upstairs busy creating our own scents.

The new shelves are filling up nicely and I’ve had lots of new stock arriving, including these organic cotton string shoppers from Turtle Bags. They’re reusable, sustainable and perfect for throwing in your bag for shopping, groceries or just about anything really.

It’s lovely seeing the shelves gradually fill up with more things alongside all my candles, soaps and home fragrance.

We’re open until 4pm today, so if you’re passing, come and have a wander in and see what’s new.

I got this beautiful tree from Melanies Florist Tadcaster and now my doorway feels very smart.

I’m still working on how I’ll tempt people in once the weather turns and the door needs to stay closed. But for now, the door is open, the signs are out, and my little tree looks rather resplendent.

I think Golden Hour might be up there in my top 5 as one of my favourite scents

I originally made it last summer and loved it so much that I brought it back this year in a larger size. I’ve still got one from last year sitting in my bedroom because I love the fragrance, even when it’s not lit.

At the moment I’m alternating between burning Golden Hour and Persian Peach in the shop, and it’s lovely hearing people walk in and ask, “What’s that smell?”

If you haven’t discovered Golden Hour yet, it’s blended with citronella, lavender and lemon verbena. Fresh, uplifting and made for these late summer days and evenings.

If you’re passing through Tadcaster today, pop in and have a smell. I’d love to know which you’d choose… Golden Hour or Persian Peach? 💛🍑

Persian Peach is filling the shop with its beautiful fragrance today… just follow your nose down the alley.
