The Macmillan Suite at Raigmore Hospital will be temporarily closed from Monday 20 July to Monday 3 August 2026 to allow planned repair work to be done on the roof of the unit.

To allow the work to be completed safely and ensure there is no disruption to service delivery, the Macmillan Suite will be relocated to Ward 3B. Signage will be in place to direct patients appropriately.

Derick MacRae, NHS Highland’s Service Manager said: “During this time the main door to the Macmillan Suite will be closed off by the contractors. Staff access will be through the rear entrance to the building.

“We will do everything we can to minimise disruption for staff and patients and aim to complete the work as quickly as possible.

“Thank you for your co-operation and understanding as we carry out these essential maintenance works.”

We had a very important visit today from Gordon McKAndie from Keirans Legacy. Gordon was here checking our defibrillator which is available for anyone to use if needed. It’s situated outside the health centre and to use phone 999 and ambulance staff will give you further instruction. The good news is that’s our defibrillator all checked and passed it’s mot with flying colours ♥️
