There are lots of organisations that provide care and support for certain sectors of society, and quite rightly so.
These include organisations supporting people dealing with Alzheimer's, a cancer diagnosis, addictions, baby loss, a long-term diagnosis, the list goes on. If you run regular in-person events, someone has to bring them and take them home. If they attend themselves, they hopefully have someone at home who gives them support outside your sessions.
When these people are not being supported by your organisation they are being cared for by someone else usually a family member.
But who's caring for these carers?
These people need support too but are usually overlooked. Budgets are tight but it doesn't take much to show appreciation for their continuous, tireless work.
This week is national Carers Week. A week to recognise and support people who provide care for a family member, friend or loved one. This is great, but what are you doing on a regular basis to support the people who provide care all year round?
For over 15 years I provided in-person hands-on and online workshops for carers who were supported by . After a short break I've made changes and I'm now expanding this service to other organisations.
Contact me and let's have a chat about how I can help you put something affordable and practical in place so you can support them too.
