We don't post very often on our Facebook but tonight I really do feel the need.

I have just sat watched and listened to the investigation into the monster funeral director from Hull.

What I am going to say comes completely from the heart and I will let my professional barrier down somewhat.

What these monsters and I say monsters as there is no way this man worked alone did is nothing short of evil, it is by far the most disgusting behaviour I have ever seen or heard of a so called funeral director.
I can't compute it I just can't. I feel sick to the pit of my stomach.
This evil creature swanning off to Arizona with his also guilty daughter knowing damn well the utter mess and carnage he was leaving behind, using donation money, disbursement money to enjoy his pathetic life, you make me sick.
He mentioned being a member of the NAFD, this trade association and that certificate on his wall didn't stop this did it.
I hate this man and his disgusting colleagues for what they have done, I hope he rots in his cell and the devil awaits him with open arms.

Death is the most vulnerable stage of a human, in life we can cry, bruise, ask for help etc this doesn't always help but a dead person can't do any of these, I hate this bastard for what he has done to the MOST vulnerable.

I am not part of a trade association for this very reason, it makes no difference whatsoever, just profit making organisations!
What myself and Edward are is 2 funeral directors with genuine hearts, experience, knowledge, compassion, understanding, transparency and always put the needs of the bereaved and residents in our care before everything.

Government get our industry regulated as soon as possible, get your regulations from us actual funeral directors not health and safety officers from the local Council. We need protecting we need our residents in our care protecting. We need this to never ever happen again.

My heart, thoughts and absolute sadness go out to every family affected by this monster.

This wasn't the most eloquently and professionally put post about this matter especially compared to other funeral directors but I don't care.
I am so sorry that this has happened and i urge all families to dig deep when choosing a funeral director. Little certificates, badges and false smiles mean nothing.
Use your intuition, go visit the premises even if its a 'direct funeral' you're looking for. Have a conversation with the people who are going to take care of your loved one, ask questions a plenty, make the right decision for you, your family and most importantly your deceased loved one.
They deserve the best even in death.

Back in 2007 Ed joined the Co-operative Funeral Service in Rugeley as a driver / bearer. Not long after Ed was partnered up with Roy Husselbee as call-out buddies.

Together they worked out of hours participating on the rota for call outs. No matter the time, day or night, Ed would pick Roy up from home and together they would attend recently bereaved families to convey their loved ones into the care of the Co-op as well as working on behalf of the Coroner responding to any sudden or unexpected deaths in the area.

This duty is one of the most sacred, meeting with families who have just lost a loved one, entering their home and transferring their loved one into a private ambulance before conveying them to the funeral home. Often emotions are running high and sensitivity is a must.

Roy taught Ed how to face families in such devastating circumstances, how to offer comfort and warmth to those left behind, and total respect and dignity to the deceased.

Roy also taught Ed the importance of attention to detail taking meticulous notes and ensuring all spellings are correct so no mistake could be made at a later date. When entering the details of the deceased into the mortuary register at the funeral home, every I was dotted and every T crossed.

At the time Roy would have been in his early 60s but still had the strength to complete the duty without compromise. Even at 3am after a full days work and knowing he had work the next day, Roy was always professional and attentive.

When Ed began conducting Funerals, Roy was often his Hearse driver, and he knew Rugeley like the back of his hand. It was very rare he felt the need to reach for the A-Z (before Sat nav’s were common).

Back in February one of Ed and Roy’s mutual colleagues Alf suddenly passed away. This was a shock for us all. Roy joined Ed and other Co-op colleagues including Moira, Kevin, Keith, Graham and Amanda to bid Alf farewell. As a mark of respect the team gathered around Alf’s coffin and bowed - something funeral directors do as pallbearers at all funerals, but this time it was different, it was for a fellow colleague.

With sadness, we learned this week of Roy’s sudden passing. Ed is honoured to be taking care of the arrangements for Roy, which will be announced in due course.

Rest in Peace Roy - thank you for everything, your time, patience, understanding, and the lessons you taught that will stay with me forever.

Today marks 20 years since the passing of Ed's Granddad 'Ted' Cutler - the perfect english gentleman. Dearly missed and fondly remembered. Always in our thoughts.

We don't post much on Facebook as finding the time to sit and reflect often seems impossible but here goes....

This week saw us undertake the funeral of a wonderful gentleman who had the courage to meet me back in January knowing his time on this earth was coming to an end. He was just perfect, a true gentleman who spent the final weeks of his life making sure the garden was clear, the house was organised and he had purchased a new car for his wife....I will miss our chats.
I have had 4 families appoint me as their funeral director this week and if you're reading this thank you from the bottom of my heart, for trusting me and allowing me to guide you through what is inevitably the hardest thing you'll ever do....I promise I will be there every step of the way.
Today we took another perfect gentleman to Sutton Coldfield Crematorium, he travelled in a horsedrawn hearse which reflected his true love of horses, a larger than life character with an amazing sense of humour. I have enjoyed taking care of his family and we have had many many laughs along the way.
Also today Edward directed the funeral of another funeral director, a gentleman that helped train Edward to be the funeral director he is today. A man that called Edward the son he never had. Although I couldn't be there it made me proud to hear of all the funeral directors that travelled some miles to see Alf off today. A past unity coming together again after so many years have gone by.
Thank you to all of the drivers this week who as always have been dignified and professional especially Harrie today on our Alf's funeral and Mark who always comes with the best energy.

Today was a very sad day laying our dear friend and colleague Alf to rest. As a final mark of respect Alf’s fellow funeral directors gathered around his coffin to bow, as they would have done so many times in the past with Alf as part of the team. Rest in Peace. Until we meet again 🕊️

With great sadness we announce the passing of Alf Jaworski. A fellow funeral director, Alf took me under his wing when I started at the Co-op Funeral Service back in 2007. He showed me the ropes and I’ll be forever grateful. Thank you Alf for choosing me to take care of you, it’s truly an honour - rest in peace luvvie. All my love, Ed x
