🔮 Why do people come for a Tarot reading?

Sometimes it’s for clarity.
Sometimes it’s for reassurance.
Sometimes it’s because they’re standing at a crossroads and just need a little guidance.

And sometimes… they’re simply curious about what the cards might have to say. ✨

In this little video I’m chatting about some of the reasons people sit down for a reading with me — and you’ll also get to meet Blue, the pug I’ve had the longest out of our little grumble. 🐾💙

🔮🐾 **A LITTLE TAROT, A LITTLE REIKI… AND A LOT OF DOGS!** 🐾✨

This Saturday, **Pug & Pendulum** will be popping up at the **2026 Fun Dog Show at the Leigh Arms, Acton Bridge** — and I’ll be bringing a little bit of magic with me. 💜

📅 **Saturday 12 September 2026**
🕛 **From 12 noon**

If you pop along, you’ll find me offering:

🔮 **Tarot Readings – £10 per session**
✨ **Reiki – £10 per session**

So while your pooch is busy making new friends, wagging their tail and hopefully collecting a rosette or two, why not take a few minutes for yourself?

Whether you’re looking for a little guidance, clarity, reassurance or simply some peaceful time out, come and find me at the Pug & Pendulum table.

The Fun Dog Show is the charity’s **biggest fundraising event of the year**, with plenty happening throughout the afternoon including dog show classes, raffles, tombola, cakes, stalls, prizes and lots of gorgeous dogs. 🐶

Dog show classes are **£3 each** and include everything from **Waggiest Tail and Golden Oldie to Best Rescue, Best Puppy and Best Trick**, before the afternoon finishes with **Best in Show**. 🏆

It promises to be such a lovely day, all while helping to raise much-needed funds for animals in need. ❤️

So come along, bring your four-legged friend and follow the paws, cards and good energy to **Pug & Pendulum**. 🐾🔮✨

✨ HOW TO START FINDING YOUR SPIRIT GUIDES — PART ONE ✨

If you’ve ever wondered whether you have a spirit guide around you — and, more importantly, how on earth you’re supposed to know who or what they are — this is where I would start.

In Part One of my little series, I’m talking about some of the simple things I’d begin paying attention to.

🌙 Dreams that feel different or unusually vivid
🐾 Animals, names or symbols that keep cropping up
🔁 Strange little coincidences and repeated themes
💭 That inexplicable feeling of already “knowing” something

And before reaching straight for a book of spiritual meanings, ask yourself:

What does that symbol mean to ME?

Your own intuition and associations are often far more important than somebody else’s interpretation.

Spirit guide work doesn’t need to be complicated, dramatic or forced. Sometimes it begins simply by becoming a bit more observant.

😈 The Devil Card… not quite as scary as it looks!

When The Devil appears in a tarot reading, it can point to attachments, unhealthy patterns, temptation, fear or situations where we may be giving away more of our power than we realise.

But there’s an important message hidden in this card too — the chains can be removed. ⛓️✨

In my latest video, I talk a little more about how I personally interpret The Devil when it appears in a reading.

🐾🔮 Blue, the tarot cards… and my voiceover! 🔮🐾

Blue has very kindly agreed to help me with my latest little tarot video — although I’m not entirely sure he understands he’s supposed to be the supporting act. 😂

This time I’m talking through the cards in my own way, sharing what I see and feel when I read them.

Because although we can learn traditional tarot meanings — and there are countless interpretations written about every card — tarot is also hugely intuitive. It’s about the imagery that catches your eye, the feeling a card gives you and, most importantly, how the cards speak to each other within a reading.

So… are we sitting comfortably?

Blue is ready. 🐶

🌒✨ Eclipse Guidance from the Cards ✨🌒

With tonight’s eclipse, I pulled three cards to provide guidance and clarity on the energy around us:

⚡ The Tower
This is the card of sudden change, realisation and things being shaken up. It can show where something has become unstable, outdated or simply isn’t working anymore. The message isn’t to fear change, but to notice what is being revealed.

🌿 Temperance
After the intensity of the Tower, Temperance asks us to slow down. Don’t react immediately, don’t force an outcome and don’t feel you have to have everything figured out tonight. Give situations time to settle and try to find a calmer, more balanced perspective.

👑 Queen of Pentacles
This brings us firmly back to earth. Focus on what makes you feel secure and settled — home, nature, good food, rest, familiar routines and the people or animals who make you feel safe.

The overall message:
Something may be shifting or becoming clearer, but you don’t have to rush to respond to it.

Notice what is changing.
Give yourself time to process it.
Stay grounded in what really matters.

Sometimes the biggest changes begin with simply seeing something differently.

🐾 Tails Animal Rescue Fun Dog Show, Northwich, Cheshire🐾

With six rescue pugs of my own, Tails is obviously a charity very close to my heart. They’ve supported me hugely in the past, so I’m always very happy to give them a shout-out. ❤️

Their biggest fundraising event of the year is coming up at The Leigh Arms, Acton Bridge, with brilliantly fun classes including Best Rescue, Golden Oldie, Waggiest Tail and Best Trick.

✨ The fabulous Kristal Kweer will be compèring
🔥 And Donna Haughan — aka the beautiful Bella Diamond, owner of Burlesque Chair Dance — will be doing a firebreathing display!

There’ll also be raffle prizes, tombola, cakes, stalls and plenty of food and drink from the pub.

📅 Saturday 12th September
⏰ Gates open at 12 noon
🐶 £3 per class — no need to pre-book, just turn up on the day

A lovely excuse to bring the dog out for the afternoon while raising money for a brilliant local rescue. 🐾❤️

What a lovely evening The Crows Nest Cafe at The Farmers Arms last night!

I had the pleasure of giving tarot readings to five absolutely lovely people, and I’m really pleased that this has now taken my fundraising total to £200 for Cheshire Search and Rescue 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who came for a reading and helped raise money for such a worthwhile local charity.

What makes The Crows Nest Cafe at The Farmers Arms so brilliant is its wonderfully down-to-earth atmosphere, delicious tapas and genuine community spirit. It was the perfect place for a lovely evening of readings!
