What a lovely evening The Crows Nest Cafe at The Farmers Arms last night!

I had the pleasure of giving tarot readings to five absolutely lovely people, and I’m really pleased that this has now taken my fundraising total to £200 for Cheshire Search and Rescue 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who came for a reading and helped raise money for such a worthwhile local charity.

What makes The Crows Nest Cafe at The Farmers Arms so brilliant is its wonderfully down-to-earth atmosphere, delicious tapas and genuine community spirit. It was the perfect place for a lovely evening of readings!

Do you know a venue that would benefit from an evening of tarot readings? Please message me to discuss 🐾🔮

A very exciting little unboxing today!

I’m so pleased to be unboxing my new set of Pug Tarot cards — and they are truly pug inspired.

These cards are based on the traditional tarot, but with a gorgeous puggy twist, so some of the suits are a little different:

Sausages = Pentacles
Pug Bones = Swords
Pug Bowls = Cups
Pug Sticks = Wands

So although the structure and meanings still connect back to the original tarot, the whole deck has been reimagined in a much more playful, pug-filled way — which obviously makes me love it even more!

I can’t wait to start working with these properly and sharing more of them with you. They feel fun, quirky, and full of personality, while still holding the wisdom and symbolism of the traditional tarot.

I’ll share more cards soon, but for now I’m just very excited to finally have them in my hands

This Week’s Tarot from the Pug Tarot - Wheel of Fortune & Two of Wands

This week feels like a turning point!

The Wheel of Fortune reminds us that life does not always move in a straight line. Plans can shift, doors can open, timing can change, and something that felt stuck may suddenly begin to move.

The Two of Wands asks us what we are going to do with that movement. This is a card of looking ahead, making plans, considering options and deciding whether we are ready to step beyond what feels familiar.

Together, these cards suggest a week of change, choice and possibility.

Things to watch for.......
Unexpected shifts, changes of plan, new opportunities, sudden realisations, or a sense that something is moving whether you feel ready or not.

Things to embrace.......
Fresh thinking, bigger-picture planning, courage, curiosity and the willingness to look beyond your usual comfort zone.

Things to avoid.......
Trying to control every detail, resisting change, staying stuck because the next step feels uncertain, or overthinking until you talk yourself out of moving forward.

What may occur......
A change in direction, a decision about the future, news that shifts your plans, or a moment where you realise you have more options than you first thought.

The message for the week is:
You may not be able to control the wheel, but you can choose how you respond when it turns. Look ahead, trust your instincts, and be brave enough to take the next step.

Wishing you a peaceful and positive week.

✨ Lenormand Cards for the Week Ahead ✨
29 Lady • 25 Ring • 15 Bear

The forthcoming week feels like it is asking us to come back to ourselves.

The Lady card places you at the centre of the reading. Your feelings, your needs, your role, your intuition, your place in a situation. This may also point to an important woman around you — someone supportive, influential, protective, or perhaps someone whose choices affect the week ahead.

Next comes the Ring, bringing themes of commitment, promises, agreements, relationships, contracts, loyalty, and cycles. This could be a week where something needs confirming, renewing, discussing, or properly committing to. It may also highlight where you feel tied to something — for better or worse.

Then we have the Bear — strength, protection, authority, power, money, leadership, and boundaries. The Bear reminds us not to shrink ourselves. Be kind, yes, but do not hand your power away.

Together, these cards suggest a week where you may need to look closely at what — or who — you are committed to, and whether that commitment still supports you.

You may find themes around relationships, money, family, work, official agreements, loyalty, protection, or standing your ground. A strong female energy may play a part, or you may simply be called to become that individual yourself.

🌹 What to look out for:
Conversations about commitment, promises, relationships, finances, agreements, responsibilities, protective people, powerful personalities, or situations where someone tries to take charge.

🌹 What to embrace:
Self-respect, loyalty, clear boundaries, inner strength, sensible decisions, and the courage to protect what matters.

This is not a week for people-pleasing at the expense of your peace.

The message is simple:

Know your worth. Honour your commitments. Stand in your power.

✨ Question for the week:
What am I committed to — and is it still strengthening me?

14/07/2026

I do love coming home after visiting an old house or historic place and researching the names, feelings, smells and sensations that seem to come through when I connect with the energy of the past.

Today, while visiting Powis Castle, the name Henry came through, accompanied by a very specific impression of someone suffering from hay fever.

There were two other peculiar moments.

I felt an unexpected urge to buy a book about someone taking on a French olive farm. It really isn’t my usual sort of book, but I felt that I should buy it.

Then, as I entered the castle, I noticed a distinct smell of onions. It was strong enough to catch my attention, although I couldn’t identify where it was coming from.

When I arrived home and began researching, some fascinating threads started to emerge.

In the nineteenth century, the Earl of Powis belonged to a literary and book-collecting circle called the Philobiblon Society. Among the surviving correspondence is a letter from Henry Labouchere, 1st Baron Taunton, saying that he hoped to attend a gathering at Orléans House if he was not:

“Prostrated by hay fever.”

So there was my Henry and hay fever.

Orléans House was the home of Henri d’Orléans, Duc d’Aumale — another Henry/Henri within that same circle. Henri was a French prince who owned a vast agricultural estate called Lo Zucco in Sicily, where olives, grapes, citrus fruits and other Mediterranean crops were grown.

The book I bought was about a French olive farm, whereas Henri’s estate was in Sicily — but the combination of a French man, an olive-growing estate and the name Henri still felt rather intriguing.

Then I discovered another curious hay-fever connection.

Powis Castle gave its name to the beautiful silver-leaved plant Artemisia ‘Powis Castle’, which was developed in the castle gardens and introduced commercially in the 1970s.

Artemisia is the plant family that includes mugwort and wormwood, and the pollen of some Artemisia species is a recognised trigger for hay fever and allergic rhinitis. The ‘Powis Castle’ variety apparently flowers only rarely, so I’m not suggesting that this particular plant caused anyone’s hay fever — but it is another rather strange echo of the impression.

So the threads from today were:

✨ Henry — Henry Labouchere
✨ Hay fever — recorded in his own correspondence
✨ Henri — the French Duc d’Aumale
✨ The olive-farm book — Henri owned an olive-growing Sicilian estate
✨ The allergy plant — Artemisia ‘Powis Castle’
✨ The smell of onions — still unexplained!

Could it all be coincidence? Of course.

But this is exactly why I love coming home and researching the apparently random names, scents, sensations and impulses that arise when visiting places filled with history.

Sometimes the past doesn’t arrive as a complete story. Sometimes it comes as a name, a smell, an unexpected book and a collection of tiny threads waiting to be followed. 🔮🏰🐾

✨ Card for the Week Ahead: Justice ✨

This week asks us to pause, breathe, and look at things clearly!

Justice is the card of truth, balance, fairness, choices, consequences, and doing what is right — even when it is not the easiest path.

You may find this week brings conversations, decisions, paperwork, agreements, or situations where the truth becomes harder to avoid. Something may need weighing up properly. Someone may need to take responsibility. You may also find yourself asking: Is this fair? Is this balanced? Am I acting from truth or from fear?

Justice does not rush. She listens. She observes. She notices what has been said, what has been avoided, and what no longer adds up.

This is a good week to look honestly at where your energy is going. Are you giving too much? Are you accepting too little? Are you waiting for someone else to make a decision when really, deep down, you already know what needs to happen?

🌿 Things to look out for this week:
Decisions, contracts, forms, legal or official matters, important conversations, truth coming to light, situations where actions have consequences, and moments where you are asked to be fair — to others, but also to yourself.

🌿 Things to embrace:
Honesty, calm judgement, clear boundaries, balanced choices, accountability, and the courage to act with integrity.

Justice reminds us that peace often comes when we stop bending ourselves out of shape to keep everything comfortable.

This week, choose truth. Choose balance. Choose the path that lets you look yourself in the eye.

✨ Justice asks:
What needs to be brought back into balance?

✨ Which Tarot Card Best Represents YOU? ✨

I've been seeing some beautiful tarot-inspired jewellery recently, including gorgeous pendants featuring individual cards. Someone very kindly bought me a Queen of Cups pendant, and it got me thinking...

If I had to choose a card that truly represents me, I think I'd probably say Queen of Wands. She's creative, intuitive, passionate, and loves helping others to find their own path. That feels very "me."

But how do you decide which tarot card represents you?

There are so many ways you could choose:
🔮 Your zodiac sign and the suit or Major Arcana card linked to your birth sign.
🔥 The element you connect with most – Fire for example Aries, Leo, Sagittarius= Wands, Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio= Water, Aquarius, Libra, Gemini= Air, or Ta**us, Virgo, Capricorn= Earth.
💜 A card whose artwork simply speaks to your soul.
🌙 A card that reflects your personality or where you are in life right now.
✨ Or perhaps it's the card that follows you around and keeps appearing in your readings!

Which tarot card do you feel represents you, and why?

Whether you're a mysterious High Priestess, a determined Chariot, a nurturing Empress, or even a misunderstood Death card! Every card has its own unique wisdom, and there's no right or wrong answer.

✨ Card of the Week — Five of Wands ✨
A day late… but sometimes the cards arrive exactly when they’re meant to. 🔮🐾

This week’s energy comes through as the Five of Wands — a card of movement, mixed opinions, busy energy, competition, and little clashes that may test your patience.

This doesn’t have to be a bad card. Sometimes the Five of Wands appears when life is stirring things up because something is trying to move forward. It can bring frustration, but it can also bring motivation, progress and the chance to prove to yourself what you’re capable of.

🌿 What to watch for this week:
Try not to get pulled into every disagreement, drama, or difference of opinion. Not every battle needs your energy. There may be people around you who are louder, more reactive, or determined to have the last word — but that doesn’t mean you have to join in.

Watch for scattered energy too. You may feel like you’re juggling too many things at once, or that everyone wants a piece of you. Take a breath before reacting.

🌞 What could go well:
This is a brilliant week for getting things moving, especially if you’ve felt stuck. A little healthy competition could push you forward. You may find your confidence growing when you stop comparing yourself to others and start focusing on your own lane.

The Five of Wands can also bring passion, creativity and new ideas — especially when different voices, opinions or approaches come together. Something that feels chaotic at first could actually lead to a breakthrough.

🔮 Advice from the card:
Choose your battles wisely. Stand your ground where it matters, but don’t waste your peace trying to win arguments that don’t need winning.

This week, ask yourself:

“Is this worth my energy?”
“Am I fighting for something important, or just reacting?”
“Can I turn tension into motivation?”

The message from the Five of Wands is simple:
You don’t have to prove yourself by fighting harder. Sometimes your power is in staying steady, calm and focused while everything else is making noise.

🐾 Pug wisdom:
A bit of chaos is fine — but don’t forget to sit down, have a snack, and let the pack sort itself out.
