Residents of Plymouth dementia care home Butterfly Lodge marked King Charles III’s official birthday with their own special garden party.
Huge thanks to Alan Jones and his wife Ann who lives with us - both have been avid gardeners their whole lives and spent hours prettying up our garden for the occasion.
Also to Michelle Adam, who brought along the most beautiful trifle, as well as our terrific kitchen team for the amazing spread.
And fab local singer Debbie Holmes for the entertainment.
A great time was had by all!

Chestnut Lodge hosted a remembrance afternoon to celebrate the life of one of our residents who passed a year ago.❤️
Many friends and family members helped make the afternoon so beautifull for his wife, who is also a resident at Chestnut Lodge. Lots of chat about their past life together was wonderful to listen to. Obviously all washed down with a cuppa and cake.
Gone but never forgotten.....something that is so important to us all.

You can tell when All@C - Bude’s "Ukulele All Stars Band of rocking pensioners" - are visiting Deer Park because of all the laughter and dancing!
Our residents love their wide repertoire and jolly banter. All funds raised go support the wonderful Air Ambulance in the South West too, which is just great 🚁
We're already looking forward to their next visit in July.

Residents Jean and Margaret from Camelot House and Lodge were delighted when a shopping trip undertaken for ‘just a loaf of bread’ turned into a full-scale weekly shop.
With the ladies' enthusiastic encouragement, the accompanied outing unexpectedly resulted in us bringing home most of what we needed for the week!
Because it's so important to maintain our residents' sense of purpose, it really helps when they can do some of the normal activities they’ve done all their lives and we work hard to facilitate this whenever we can, both inside and outside our homes.

What a great at Chestnut Lodge! Our residents enjoyed a nostalgic trip down memory lane with a special theme day featuring music and fashions that sparked some great memories.
They had such fun singing along to Night Fever, YMCA and Dancing Queen, and loved modelling the retro costumes and fashion accessories.

Our nurses are such important members of our teams. We celebrated at CHL last week, but not a day goes by without us witnessing how amazingly kind and professional they are in their support for our residents ❤️

Blake Gardens again! This time for Avalon's teddy bears' picnic 🧸
What a lovely time we all had. Special thanks to our kitchen team for the yummy feast 😋

What a lovely time our ladies and gents had at Blake Gardens' celebrations!
We made a total of four visits throughout the day, supporting residents to make the most of the fete. They adored the maypole dancing and watching and chatting with the talented .
