Your contribution is invaluable, and we recognise the difference you make, often while facing your own challenges.

This year’s theme focuses on building carer-friendly communities - reminding carers that they are not alone, and that support, advice and guidance is available.

What a month May has been! A definite highlight was celebrating the achievements of a truly wonderful Croft House colleague at the 2026 Somerset Care Awards! 🎉

Today we would like to share our heartfelt thanks to the family of our lovely resident, Kay, who sadly passed away. 💜

Kay was such a sociable, kind-hearted lady who brought so much warmth and companionship to everyone around her. She loved spending time chatting and keeping our staff company, and her presence is deeply missed by us all.

We are incredibly touched by the beautiful memorial bench kindly donated by Kay’s daughter, Tina, in her memory. The bench has been placed outside for our staff to enjoy — exactly as Kay wished, creating a peaceful place to sit, reflect, and remember her fondly.

These words mean so much to our whole team. It was truly an honour and privilege to care for Kay, and we will always cherish the memories we shared with her.

Thank you, Tina and family, for such a thoughtful and meaningful tribute to a very special lady. 💐

☕💙 Join Us for Time for a Cuppa 💙☕

We would love to invite our family, friends, colleagues, and local community to join us for our Time for a Cuppa event in support of Dementia UK

📅 Monday 11th May
⏰ 10:30am – 12:00pm

Come along for a cuppa, some delicious treats, and a friendly chat whilst helping us raise funds for the amazing work Dementia UK does to support families affected by dementia.

Your support means so much, and we look forward to welcoming everyone for a lovely morning together 💙

A big well done to Alisha, who has taken the initiative to introduce a hydration trolley for our residents! 🥤✨

Today, everyone enjoyed a selection of fresh smoothies and drinks, which went down a treat. One resident shared that having the trolley has given her more choice and described it as “a breath of fresh air” — which is wonderful to hear.

It’s fantastic to see such thoughtful ideas making a real difference to our residents’ daily experience. 💙

Our Christmas Elves have been busy preparing the Santa’s Grotto, here's a sneak peak 🎅✨

📅 Don't forget to join us this Saturday, 13th December from 10:30am – 12:30pm for our Christmas Fete.

✨ What’s On:
🎅 Santa’s Grotto – £3 per child
🥧 Mince Pie & Drink – £2
🎟️ Raffle
🎁 Tombola & Festive Stalls
🎶 Musical Entertainment

Our raffle will be drawn during the fete.
All money raised will go directly towards Residents’ Amenities, helping us fund more lovely activities and events. 🥰
