💚 Wear It Green Day – Mental Health Awareness Week 💚
It’s Wear It Green Day! 🎉
Today we’re wearing green to show our support for mental health awareness and to remind young people that it’s okay to talk about how they’re feeling.
👕 Parents, carers, and teachers — why not get involved by: ✅ Wearing something green
✅ Encouraging young people to join in
✅ Starting a simple conversation about mental health
💬 You could ask:
• What helps you feel calm when you’re stressed?
• Who do you talk to when things feel tough?
• What’s one thing that makes you feel good?
🌱 Small actions spark big conversations. By taking part, we’re showing children and young people that mental health matters just as much as physical health — and that support is always available.
Don’t forget to share your green looks and spread the message! 💚

💚 Kooth for Mental Health Awareness Week 💚
As parents and carers, we all want to know our children have someone to turn to when things feel tough. That’s why we’re sharing Kooth – a free, confidential online mental health and wellbeing service for children and young people.
👂 Kooth offers a safe space for young people to:

Talk to trained counsellors via chat
Read helpful articles and stories
Connect with others in moderated forums
Get support in their own time, from anywhere

✨ Many young people find it easier to open up online, especially if they’re not ready for face-to-face support.
👉 Take a moment this week to talk to your child about how they’re feeling and let them know that Kooth is there if they ever need it. Even just knowing the option exists can make a big difference.

💚 Mental Health Awareness Week – Let’s Take Action! 💚
Parents and teachers play a powerful role in supporting young people’s mental health — and this week is all about turning awareness into action 💪✨
✅ This week’s simple wellbeing challenge:
The 10 Minute Check In
Set aside just 10 minutes to ask a young person:
• How has your week really been?
• What’s something that’s made you smile?
• Is there anything worrying you right now?
No fixing. No rushing. Just listening 💬💚
Small moments like this build trust, open conversations, and remind young people they’re not alone. You could do this at home, in the classroom, or even during form time.
🌱 Mental health support doesn’t have to be complicated — small actions can make a big difference. Let’s model healthy conversations and show young people that talking about feelings is okay.
What’s one action you’ll take this week? 👇
