Often the feeling itself is hard enough, without the adding layer of judgement.

Mindfulness invites us to notice what’s here, soften around it and ask: Can I be with this, just for now?

31/07/2026

When it comes to your mindfulness practice, you don’t need to judge yourself for leaving the present moment. Just notice that you’ve returned. 💙

Do you ever find yourself teaching mindfulness with people from a range of cultures, countries or backgrounds?

It can be both meaningful and challenging to navigate finding ways to stay inclusive and accessible, while remaining true to the practice.

Our expert panel Karen Atkinson, Marcelo Demarzo, MD PhD, Dr Alison Evans and Ted Meissner will share perspectives drawn from real teaching experience across diverse settings, with space for your own questions too.

You may come away with:

→ Greater ease and confidence in diverse teaching contexts
→ Practical ways to adapt language and approach
→ Deeper reflection on accessibility, inclusion and cultural humility
→ Insight from others walking a similar path

Whether this is already part of your work, or something you’re beginning to encounter, you’re warmly invited.

The right teacher training should give you more than knowledge.

That’s why we like to keep our training groups small.

One of our students first trained with us on the MBSR Teacher Training pathway, and later chose to return for our Compassionate Mindful Resilience (CMR) pathway too.

In her words:

“Training groups are also small, so you can ask questions, have space to rehearse practices, and meet your fellow trainees properly, creating a real sense of community.”

This sense of community is something we care deeply about. 💙

What's more meaningful to us than a five star review? 🌟

Seeing a participant become a teacher!

Magda’s journey began with experiencing our Compassionate Mindful Resilience (CMR) programme, and continued with training to become a CMR teacher under the guidance of Angie ward and our wonderful teaching team.

Now, we're delighted to celebrate that she's become a BAMBA listed teacher. 🎉

We know that many aspiring teachers worry about whether they're "ready" to teach. That's why creating a learning environment where people feel supported to ask questions, build confidence and grow into their own teaching style sits at the heart of everything we do.

We're always grateful when people take the time to share their experience. But seeing our trainees grow in confidence, become teachers, and take the next step in their journey is even more rewarding.

Congratulations, Magda, we're so proud to have you both as part of the MindfulnessUK community. 💙

The best way to discover whether your mindfulness practice is truly universal is to see how it translates across cultures.

That's why we're delighted share that Karen Atkinson will be joining the British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches panel, Mindfulness Without Borders: Teaching Across Cultures & Territories, on 14th July alongside Dr Alison Evans, Ted Meissner and Marcelo Demarzo, MD PhD.

Together, they'll be exploring what it means to teach mindfulness across cultures with humility, accessibility and integrity, and how we can ensure it remains relevant and meaningful for the people and communities we serve.

We'd love to see members of our community there!

We hear a lot about nervous system dysregulation.

The anxiety.
The overwhelm.
The racing thoughts.
The feeling of being constantly on edge.

But what about a regulated nervous system?

Not because regulation means feeling calm all the time and because difficult emotions disappear.

It’s often much more about having enough inner stability to meet life as it is.

Have you noticed any of these qualities in yourself recently? 💙

How much of your selfworth is tied to your productivity?

In a culture that celebrates achievement, growth, and constant progress, it's easy to believe that our value depends on what we accomplish.

But what happens when success becomes exhausting?

On Saturday 20th June, we're inviting you to pause, reflect, and explore a different way forward at our online retreat:

The Art of Success Through Mindfulness & Compassion

Led by Elaine and Tommaso, this special retreat explores how mindfulness and compassion can help us develop a healthier relationship with achievement, ambition, and the pressure to always be doing more.

Through mindfulness practices, self-compassion, reflection, and inner support, you'll be invited to soften your relationship with outcomes and reconnect with a deeper sense of wholeness within yourself.

✔ Open to everyone
✔ Counts towards CPD and teacher training portfolios
✔ Recording included if you can't attend live
✔ One of our few Saturday retreats, scheduled in response to community demand

Join us on 20th June.
