Cupping therapy
is one of the most effective and gentle massage techniques, in my opinion.
I like to call my little cups my "flying saucers"βpartly because of their shape, and partly because they seem to work almost like magic on the fascia and muscles.
Unlike traditional massage techniques that apply pressure, cupping uses a gentle lifting action, creating a unique pulling effect that reaches through the different layers beneath the skin.
I find cupping especially effective when I discover very stiff muscles or knotty areas that can contribute to back pain, neck tension, or headaches. Sometimes people come in asking for a relaxing massage without even realizing these tight spots are there. A deeper therapeutic approach can make all the difference, helping to release long-held tension and restore easier movement.
When combined with traditional massage, these two approaches complement each other beautifully. The lifting action of the cups and the pressure of hands create a balanced treatment that relieves tension, improves mobility, and leaves your body feeling refreshed, restored, and revitalized.
Have you ever tried cupping therapy? I'd love to hear about your experience!
