Oake Meadows Care Home Discover Our Warm Environment For Those Living With Dementia or Nursing Requirements to Call Home. We would love to show you around Oake Meadows Care Home!

Set in a quiet residential area of Taunton, we have a strong emphasis on encouraging freedom of choice. Our extensively trained team of care professionals will work with you to create a care plan tailored to your individual requirements. Your friends and family are welcome to visit at any time, with drinks and snacks available on request. Our dedicated activities team ensure that there is always s

omething interesting happening at Oake Meadows. You will often find live music and demonstrations in our lounges, as well as a variety of classic movies at our in-house cinema. You can enjoy some pampering in our hair salon, use of our sensory room, or some quiet time in one of our many smaller lounges. Activities can be tailored to your own interests and abilities, and we often organise day trips to the local area. Our talented team of kitchen staff provide three delicious nutritious meals per day, using fresh seasonal ingredients. Friends and family are welcome to join you for a meal, and all dietary requirements are catered for. Please call us on 01823 475158 to arrange a visit, or to discuss any aspect of elderly care.

🎶☀️ Cameron brought the sunshine to Oake Meadows! ☀️🎶

Cameron Lemmer sung all our favourites and treated us to some fantastic music, including a special Dolly Parton favourite, which had everyone thoroughly enjoying themselves! 🎶🤠

There may not have been much sunshine outside, but there was certainly plenty of it inside! ☀️🥰

Thank you, Cameron, for another afternoon filled with music, smiles and lots of happy memories! 💕🎵

☀️🌸 August at Oake Meadows! 🌸☀️

What a wonderful month it’s been! 💙 We’ve packed August full of sunshine, smiles, music and plenty of memorable moments. 🥰

From our Summer Party with the wonderful Danny Jukebox, delicious food and lots of fun 🎉, to getting up close with some amazing reptiles thanks to Phelsuma Farm - Reptiles & Exotics, Somerset. 🐍🦎!

We’ve also enjoyed visits from the incredibly talented Cameron Lemmer and Zara King, filling Oake Meadows with some of our favourite tunes 🎶.

We also brought the summer to a close with a visit from Margetts Superwhip where everyone enjoyed an ice cream 🍦

A huge thank you to everyone who has helped make August so special — residents, families, friends, staff and all our wonderful visitors. ❤️

🐍🦎 What a wonderful afternoon of bravery and discovery thanks to Phelsuma Farm - Reptiles & Exotics, Somerset! 🕷️🐢

Our residents had an amazing time getting up close and personal with some incredible reptiles! From holding and stroking them to learning all about these fascinating creatures, everyone showed just how brave they could be! 💚

It was also so lovely to welcome so many family members who joined us for the visit. Seeing our residents sharing these special experiences with their loved ones made the afternoon even more memorable. 🥰

We are so excited to welcome Phelsuma Farm - Reptiles & Exotics, Somerset back to Oake Meadows for what will be their final visit with us! 🦎🐍💚

After the wonderful success of their shop, they are sadly no longer able to continue their visits—but we couldn’t be more excited to see them one last time and enjoy another amazing afternoon with their incredible reptiles and exotic creatures! 🐢🕷️🐸

🌸 Wishing our wonderful Lynda a very happy retirement! 🌸

After being such a valued part of the Oake Meadows family, and Redwood’s wonderful Activities Key Worker, it’s time for Lynda to begin her next chapter. 💗

Lynda will be deeply missed by our residents, families and the whole team. Her kindness, care and dedication have meant so much and we are so grateful for everything she has given over the years. 🥰

We wish you the very best for your retirement, Lynda! We hope it’s filled with lots of relaxing days, fun adventures, plenty of laughter and everything you deserve! 🌷✨

There were plenty of smiles, singing and dancing 💙 It’s safe to say Zara brought the perfect soundtrack for a fantastic afternoon. 🎶
