When will I actually see my Sculptra results?

If you're looking for an overnight transformation, Sculptra probably isn't the treatment for you, and that's actually one of the things I like about it.

Immediately after treatment you may notice some fullness, but this is not your final result. Some of this comes from the water used to prepare the product and will settle.

Then your body gets to work.

Over the following weeks and months, Sculptra stimulates your fibroblasts to produce new collagen, gradually improving the support and quality within the tissues.

This is a treatment where patience really does pay off.

There shouldn't be that sudden moment where everyone wonders, “What have you had done?”

Instead, we're looking for gradual, natural-looking changes that develop over time.

And once that collagen has developed, the effects can be long-lasting, often up to two years or more, although results and longevity will vary between individuals.

For me, Sculptra isn't about how you're going to look next week.

It's about investing in how your skin is going to look in the months and years ahead.

Treatment suitability, expected results and the number of sessions required are always discussed during an individual consultation.

How many vials of Sculptra will I need?

It's one of the first questions I'm asked, and there genuinely isn't one answer.

Because I’m not treating a number of vials. I’m treating you.

Your treatment plan will depend on your age, skin quality, degree of collagen and volume loss, facial structure and, most importantly, what you're hoping to achieve.

Someone beginning to notice the early signs of ageing may need a very different approach to someone who has experienced more significant changes through ageing, menopause or weight loss.

Sculptra® is also a gradual treatment.

Treatments are typically spaced around 4–6 weeks apart, allowing us to assess how your tissues are responding before deciding what comes next.

And that's an approach I really believe in.

I'd rather gradually build a result with you than overtreat you on day one.

The aim isn't to change your face or chase an arbitrary number of vials.

It's to create a treatment plan that's appropriate for your face, your skin and your goals.

Everything starts with a consultation.

You’ve probably heard that Sculptra® “stimulates collagen”… but what does that actually mean? 👀

Sculptra contains PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid). Once injected, it creates a controlled response within the tissue that activates our fibroblasts, the cells involved in producing collagen.

And this is where it gets interesting…

Clinical data has demonstrated:

✨ Up to 66.5% increase in type I collagen at 3 months
✨ Up to 34% increase in elastin at 3–6 months
✨ Up to 26.1% increase in skin thickness at 9 months

This is also why Sculptra isn't an overnight treatment.

Those changes take place gradually as your own tissue responds and remodels over the weeks and months following treatment.

For me, that's one of the most exciting things about it.

It's not about suddenly looking “done”. It's about gradually improving the quality and support within your own skin.

And because every face, and every ageing journey, is different, Sculptra always starts with an individual assessment and treatment plan.
