Need support navigating dementia?

Our Dementia Wellbeing Support Service is here for anyone looking for guidance, advice or extra support.

This service is available to the whole community (your family member doesn’t need to attend a Filo group), as well as people experiencing memory loss but who do not yet have a dementia diagnosis.

With over 20 years’ experience in dementia support, your local Dementia Wellbeing Co-ordinator can help you access a wide range of support and give tailored expert advice to improve quality of life and address specific challenges.

This week is Dementia Action Week, led by the Alzheimer’s Society. It is an important national campaign dedicated to raising awareness of dementia, challenging stigma, and highlighting the vital importance of early diagnosis.

At Tavy care, we are proud to support many individuals and families in our local community who are living with dementia. Every day, we see first-hand the dedication, compassion, and resilience shown by families caring for their loved ones. We are continually humbled by the strength and love that surrounds so many of the people we support.

Breaking down the stigma associated with dementia remains central to our work, both professionally and personally. Many of us at Tavy care have had family members affected by dementia, and we deeply understand the challenges faced by both those living with the condition and those caring for them. It is a subject very close to our hearts.

Early diagnosis can make a significant difference, helping individuals access the right support, information, and care at the earliest possible stage. Throughout Dementia Action Week, we encourage everyone to learn more, start conversations, and help create a more understanding and supportive society.
