Two steps forward, one step back…
We are getting there, slowly but surely.

Thanks to everyone that helped, popped in to say hi or supported us in any other way. It is all really appreciated 🫶

We also want to thank everyone for their patience 🙏 There are some obstacles beyond our control and some challenges that we couldn’t ignore but we are happy to say we are on the downhill course now.

So glad to see Lorna back after her short break ☀️ The Village definitely seemed quieter without our local Post Office.

Despite all the craziness with our refurb, we have managed to drop a wee delivery of Scones, Granola and Tablet to the Post Office.

Our courgetter plants having a fantastic year and producing an abundance of crops so we couldn’t resist and using some of them in our scones… Introducing Cheese, Courgette & Dill Scone. Beautiful flavour, light & fluffy. Fantastic accompaniment to soup, salad or to be enjoyed on its own.

Also returning this week one of the Taynuilt’s favourites… Apple, Cinnamon & Raisin Scone. A little ahaead of the autumn but since the weather got cooler, this one will fill your house with comforting aroma, just need a little warming up in the toaster, oven, or a microwave.

New Recipes testing and Herbal Tea blending is definitely the fun side of the refurb and awaiting the arrival of much anticipated equipment!

On the other side, there is a lot of sweat and tears being poured every day, and night, to have the bakery up and running for Summer.

Huge credit goes to Seany Jameson , who’s been doing most of the work, even this morning, instead of celebrating his special day!

We hope to be open within the next few weeks, subject to all permissions and vast amounts of back office work to be completed.

Big shout out to Iwan from Digital Druid who’s been working with us on a mobile platform, combining information, updates and ordering system into one. Not an easy task for complex business like ours.

More info will be released soon… in the meantime enjoy this gorgeous Summer afternoon ☀️
