Heat safety and antidepressants - Antidepressants (such as SSRIs, SNRIs, and TCAs) can significantly impact your body’s ability to regulate heat. They interfere with the hypothalamus (the brain’s temperature regulator) and can reduce your ability to sweat. This makes you much more vulnerable to dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke. Stay safe in the hot weather.
