A Fresh New Look For Our Dining Room!

We’re delighted to share our newly refurbished dining room at St George’s Park!

The space has had a lovely refresh, including a new colour scheme and more contemporary feel, creating a brighter and more welcoming place for residents to enjoy their meals, socialise and spend time with loved ones.

The refurbishment was carried out by our Maintenance Operative, Chris Barley, with support from Rotherwood Healthcare’s central team.

We think the finished space has a real “bistro feel” to it!

It’s lovely to see residents and their families enjoying the refreshed space.

An Evening of Cheese, Wine & Music

It was a lovely evening at St George’s Park as residents, families and younger generations came together to enjoy some time in the home.

There was a delicious selection of cheeses, grapes, berries and biscuits, alongside white wine, rosé and Prosecco. Emma provided the evening’s entertainment, with residents thoroughly enjoying her song choices and happily singing along.

It was especially lovely to see different generations spending time together, enjoying the music, food and each other’s company. A wonderfully relaxed evening at St George’s Park.

Sue’s Out and About!

Sue at St George’s Park loves getting out to the local shops, and a recent shopping trip gave her the perfect excuse to pick up some of her favourite magazines and savoury snacks.

Sue really enjoys choosing her own things and having the freedom to decide what takes her fancy. With Yvonne alongside her, she headed out to browse the shops and pick up a few treats for herself.

For Sue, these little trips are about more than shopping, they’re a chance to get out, enjoy the local community and do something she loves.

From Garden to Table!

There’s something rather special about eating food you’ve grown yourself!

Residents at St George’s Park enjoyed bringing some of their homegrown vegetables from the garden to the table, preparing them together and arranging them ready to enjoy with some biscuits and a cup of tea.

It was a lovely afternoon of good food, plenty of chatting and, most importantly, enjoying the results of all their hard work in the garden.

One resident summed it up perfectly: “It’s great to eat something we have grown. It tastes delicious. Good to share the food we have planted.”

A lovely reminder that sometimes the best things really do come from the garden!

Green Fingers at St George’s Park

Residents at St George’s Park enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the sunshine at their Gardening Club.

They were excited to see that the seeds they planted back in February had survived the hot summer and were now growing beautifully.

After giving the plants and vegetables a much-needed drink, residents were especially proud of how big the cucumbers had grown and they were ready to be picked and enjoyed!

With tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, magnolias, green peas, marrows and pumpkins all growing in the garden, there was plenty to be proud of.
