Today I had Eva, the head vet from Vets for Pets Telford give me a helping hand with our physio and hydro sessions!

Eva and her team have been referring cases to us for a while now, and we’re very grateful they trust us with their dogs!

Thank you for your time and advice today, everyone really appreciated your input and the dogs really enjoyed a new face around the centre. Personally, it was great to work alongside a vet today! Putting the term ‘multidisciplinary team’ into practice ☺️

New flyers for if your dog has had a cranial cruciate ligament surgery or surgery for an intervertebral disc extrusion!

When you first arrive at the centre you’ll be handed a flyer with all the information you need which might help give you a clearer insight into the weeks ahead during their recovery.

We’ll be handing them out to local vet practices too! (If you’re a vet practice, comment below if you’d like some)

Smiley Kudi! 🐶

I’ve been seeing Kudi for a little over two years now since an injury to her left stifle (knee). She has more recently started to show more signs of osteoarthritis and slowing down on walks.

A trip back to the vet and and now on and increased dose and a new medication, and she’s a lot happier! Regular physio and hydrotherapy has also helped with her comfort level!

We’re here to shed more light on strollers and stroller-friendly walks for your dog!

We see a lot of patients where going for structured, hilly or long walks can be little too much. Most of the time this is due to their overall mobility being a little limited (mostly due to osteoarthritis or neurological conditions).

Because of this, owners have adapted and invested in a stroller to allow them to still enjoy their favourite walks, then utilise the stroller when they get tired!

We’re going to be posting walks in Shropshire that are ‘stroller-friendly’ that are easily accessible for your dog! This week is all about Dale End Park in Ironbridge, Telford! 🐶

It was Tongue-out Tuesday this morning for Eros after his physiotherapy session!! 😄

Love this boy! We had one of the best sessions we’ve ever had this morning, and even felt up for a play and a woof at the end too!

See you next time Eros! 🐶

Proprioception! But what does that mean?

It essentially means the awareness of your limbs and foot placement in co-ordination to your body!

As you can see in this video, Bentley has some ataxic (wobbly) movement. By getting him to walk over some low-raised poles, we’re asking him to think about the placement of his limbs and re-educate his movment. Clever boy Bentley!
