Bowie was referred to me over 12 months ago, he suffered an intervertebral disc extrusion, leaving him paraplegic. His condition was so severe, it was deemed a ‘grade 5’ injury, meaning he had a 60% chance of walking again!

TICK WARNING!

Just a reminder to spend 5 minutes having a look for any ticks on your dog after a walk or even when grooming them this summer!

Today my own dogs fell a victim to a couple of rather hungry ticks! I found them after the dogs were licking the part of them where they had embedded themselves! A tick-twister later, they were removed safely!

Beware if your dog likes running in areas of long grass, ticks love to hide there! 🌱

Hey Harper 👋🏻

This little sweetie has been coming to the centre for physiotherapy following a recent knee surgery!

She’s been a pleasure to treat! To aid her recovery, she’ll also be carrying out hydrotherapy in the aquatic treadmill, which is up next! Go harper 😁🫶🏻

This week I finished my role at Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service! My final day was made sweeter by being able to scrub in and help out in theatre for a spinal op!

I’m so lucky to have worked alongside some amazingly talented people and have learnt a lot being in their company, thank you all!

I’ve always wanted to scratch the itch of working as a veterinary physiotherapist in a referral hospital, so thank you to Willows for giving me the opportunity to do just that! 😁

Kleo does her hydrotherapy even when the belt isn’t moving 😅, both getting our steps in today!

Kleo is approaching 6 months since her hemilaminectomy (spinal surgery). She’s turned a corner with her hydro recently and doing very well! Love her 🫶🏻

Getting sent this video of Flye out on his holidays at the beach after bilateral (both sided) elbow surgeries and ligament repair, is amazing!!

I’m glad to have been a small piece of the pie in getting him back to where he loves to be.. on the beach again! 😁

Spent the day at the Veterinary Osteoarthritis Alliance Conference! A great event as always… Learnt a lot, saw some familiar faces and came away feeling more inspired, the great thing about these events! 😁

It’s a bad day to be a ball when Bertie is about!🥎

Bertie has been in this week for his monthly physiotherapy session to help manage a patella injury he sustained 18 months ago, when we first saw him!

I’m glad we’re at a point where he’s been doing consistently well! 😬

Bess is the besst! 🫶🏻

Bess was referred to us over nearly 4 years ago now and has since had another knee surgery (not that you’d know it), and has been keeping up with, her now, monthly hydrotherapy!

I don’t quite get as big a welcome on arrival from anyone like Bess! See you next month 🐶

Dot smiling because it’s her birthday week!! 🥳

Dot came by today for her bi-monthly physiotherapy check up, which involved plenty of fuss, which she of course loved!

We love Dotty! 🫶🏻
