A warm summer’s day can feel very different when you’re carrying grief. The sunshine, the quiet, the warm cup in your hands - it doesn’t fix anything, but sometimes it gives you just enough space to sit with what feels heavy without it crushing you completely.
Grief has a way of clouding everything, even on the brightest days. But moments like these when the world still feels gentle, when you can simply pause, can bring a small kind of comfort. Not a solution, just a soft place to rest for a while.
If it lifted the clouds, even just a little, that matters. And if it also brought memories, or a quiet ache alongside the warmth… that matters too. You don’t have to push those feelings away.
If you’d like to share, we’re here to listen ❤️
Join us at The Little Chapel, Newport Cemetery, on Wednesday 10th June 2026 from 10am–12 noon for a cuppa ☕️ and a biscuit or two.
Newport and District Funeral Services will be there to chat about what happens when a loved one passes, answer questions, or explain how funeral plans work if you’re curious.
There will also be a raffle, with ALL proceeds going to Severn Hospice.
Most importantly, you’ll be met with a warm smile and a friendly atmosphere — no pressure, no expectations. Come for a one-to-one chat, join a group conversation, or simply enjoy a peaceful moment to sit and reflect.
You are very welcome
