FEEL LIKE YOU ARE GETTING STUCK IN A CYCLE?? 🤔

When we’ve had pain for a while, we can easily become afraid to do certain movements or do certain jobs.

This is a normal reaction - we have got hurt and don’t want it to happen again.

As time goes on this reaction turns into a habit and becomes the new norm! We start to limit what we do, where we go, stop doing the things we enjoy ☹ And when we do try to do some of the things we normally do, we feel our whole body tensing up and anticipating pain. So now the body has gone into protective mode and we are stuck in this endless cycle

Some very wise words from Dr. Howard Luks 💪 MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE!

Joints are built to move
to be nourished by motion,
supported by strong muscles,
and stabilized by coordination and control.
When movement disappears, strength fades
and joints are left unprotected.

Appropriate progressive movement
helps maintain joint health by strengthening the muscles,
tendons, and connective tissues that share the load.
Movement improves circulation,
supports cartilage nutrition,
and reinforces stability through strength.

Weakness forces joints to absorb stress alone.
Strength teaches the body how to distribute it.
When muscles do their job,
joints are guided, protected, and respected.

This doesn’t mean reckless motion.
It means intentional movement.
It means training through safe ranges,
building strength gradually,
and restoring confidence step by step.

Your joints don’t ask for less movement
they ask for better support.
They ask for strength, control and consistency.
Move with purpose.
Build strength around what matters.
Because strong joints are not the result of avoidance,
but of movement done well.

💥 Stop Resting — Start Healing!

❌ If you’ve been told to “just rest” to heal your back pain, you’ve been given the wrong advice.

Laying in bed might feel good short-term, but it’s actually making you weaker, stiffer, and keeping you in pain longer.

Most people don’t realize that resting too much slows recovery and causes your body to lose the mobility it needs to heal.

🔑 The key here is movement — not bed rest.

Step 1: Begin gentle mobility work to keep your spine and hips moving.
�Step 2: Build consistency with targeted exercises that strengthen and stabilize your back.

Following on from yesterday's post about adjustments and being "realigned", I thought I would share what a real life spine looks like.

The bones and discs are encased in strong ligaments ensuring nothing "slips out" or comes "out of place" that therefore needs putting "back into place".

You spine is super strong and robust! 💪

❗Its one of the most adaptable structures in the body.
❗Its built to carry heavy loads
❗The more you protect it with fear the weaker it becomes
