Treenatritious - The Health Coach I am an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Yoga Teacher and Reiki Master. I'm also a Mum and Real Foods advocate. I suddenly felt superhuman!

I coach clients around Food, Cooking, Daily Movement, Life Purpose, Relationships and Spirituality. As a long term 'health freak' I was always interested in eating healthily and thought I had it sorted some years ago - rye bread, gluten free products etc... But then my Crossfit addict of a husband made me look at Paleo. To placate him, I read 'It Starts with Food' and it blew my mind so I did the

'Whole30' (30 days of very clean eating) and I couldn't believe the difference, even after two weeks. I was literally bouncing out of bed at 6am, alert and ready to work (which was no mean feat as my friends & family could tell you. I am Not a ‘morning person’!) My performance at Crossfit enhanced dramatically and I was no longer ‘slumping’ in the afternoon. I even endured a full day of presentations in a stuffy lecture theatre where most others were sleeping, yet I was fully engaged and focussed. I felt like the ‘limitless’ Bradley Cooper after taking the mind empowering drug as I was suddenly more capable in so many areas in my life. And this was purely from changing my diet over just a few weeks! The swollen ankle that had bothered me for six months just disappeared - never to return again. I was a changed woman, though that deep relationship with ‘other’ food was still calling...

The re-introduction of the 'problem' food groups highlighted to me that dairy affected my sinuses within 5 minutes and non-gluten grains caused me to suffer from all over body pain and inflammation in any weak areas. I spent a few years repeating this process and making other 'tweaks' so that on a scientific level (for me), I knew what affected me and what didn't, which allows me to make individual food choices based on what works best for me. I then began to share this knowledge with others, teaching them how to cook like me and how to change their diet to feel healthier. I also began supporting people through elimination diets and suddenly realised that I was 'health coaching', so I decided to get a qualification to make it official! I signed up at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York and studied hard (getting 100% in most of my exams!) and finally became a Certified Health Coach. I began coaching clients with amazing success and quickly realised I had found my life purpose. This is why I wanted to set up my business. I love people and I want to help them feel as great as I do. I am passionate about helping people to discover their own truth, not what we’re told by those invested to profit from it. Everyone can feel more healthy just by choosing more healthy foods. I am a testament to that. However, what I have subsequently realised is that food is only a small part of it, hence becoming a health coach and not just a cook. No matter how organic a yoga practising vegan you are, if you hate your job or are in a bad relationship, you will never feel good or happy. It's all about balance. I believe that is why I'm here - to help create that balance in my own life and in the lives of others. The more balanced, happy and healthy we are, the better our planet will be. My vision is world peace, but Health Coaching is a good start!

Have you ever thought about someone and then they suddenly called or messaged?

Last week, a client kept coming into my mind. Over and over again.

Eventually, I reached out.

Her response was, “How do you always know when something’s wrong?”

The truth is, I don’t always know.

But I do believe we’re all far more connected than we’ve been taught.

Sometimes we sense when someone we care about needs support.

Sometimes we know something isn’t quite right before it’s spoken.

I think we’re all capable of this. Some of us have simply practised listening a little more closely.

It also reminded me of something I see often in my coaching work.

Our bodies, emotions and intuition are constantly communicating with us.

The question is…

Are we listening?

Have you ever known someone was about to call, message or needed your support before they told you?

You don’t need more information… you need a space where you actually follow through.

I almost stopped my son’s guitar lessons.

I was thinking…
“What’s the point? He plays at home. He can learn anything online.”

But then it clicked.

It’s not about the information.

It’s about the space.

That one hour a week?
That’s when he shows up for himself.
That’s when he commits.
That’s when he actually does it.

And honestly… this is exactly what I see with the women I work with.

You already know what to eat.
You already know what would help.

But when you’re tired, overwhelmed, and life gets busy…
it doesn’t happen. It can be hard to devote any time to yourself.

Not because you’re lazy.
Because you don’t have the space, support, or accountability.

That’s the work.

Not more knowledge.
Follow through.

Ever noticed how quickly things can escalate…
one comment, one tone, one moment… and suddenly you’re right in it?

I was just sitting outside with a coffee and some homemade truffles this morning…
and it got me thinking about something I was speaking to a client about…

When you feel that trigger rise…
instead of reacting straight away…
pause and cast the spell of ridiculous.

(Yes, like in Harry Potter 😄)

Because when you can see the energy for what it is…
you stop feeding it.

And without fuel… it has nowhere to go.

That doesn’t mean you ignore the trigger.
It just means you don’t let it run the show.

Notice it.
Come back to yourself.
Then gently explore…
“Why did that land the way it did?”

That’s where the real work is. 🙏🏻

So, during the week I mentioned a Harvard study about exercise and mindset… and it turns out I’d been telling the story slightly wrong. 🤦🏻‍♀️

So I went and fact-checked it.

The study wasn’t done with nurses — it was actually done with hotel housekeepers.

And the most fascinating part?

They weren’t even going to the gym!

One group simply continued their work as normal, while the other group were shown how their daily work counted as exercise.

After a few weeks, the group who understood their movement differently actually saw improvements in their health! 😍💪🏼 (decreased weight, blood pressure, waist to hip ratio & BMI!)

Which shows just how powerful awareness can be when we move our bodies.

And honestly… I think the real study is even more interesting than the version I’d heard before.

Hopefully this inspires you to bring consciousness into all of your daily movement? 🙏🏻🙏🏻

The way you think during exercise can literally change the results you get.

Yesterday I was cross-country skiing and had a funny realisation…

The cross-trainer machine at the gym is basically mimicking this exact movement — and I’ve used that machine for YEARS without ever thinking about it! 😂🙈

I was just plodding along.

But yesterday, I started paying attention to what my body was actually doing.

Engaging my core.
Activating my glutes.
Using my hamstrings properly.

Suddenly the whole movement felt easier. Stronger. More connected.

I’ve realised recently that for most of my life my glutes and hamstrings were barely doing their job. My body had found ways to bypass using them properly.

Now that I consciously activate them when I move, I’m seeing a huge difference — even cellulite I’ve had since I was 16 is noticeably reducing. 💃🏻💪🏼

Your body works so much better when you’re actually present in it.

Next time you exercise, try slowing down for a moment and noticing the muscles you’re using.

This kind of body awareness is something I often teach my clients… because real change begins with reconnecting to the body.
