THE USE OF HOSPITAL A&E SERVICES BY SUFFERERS OF PERSISTENT PAIN

This study forms part of the Advanced Physiotherapy Master’s degree course at University College London.

It will look at participants' reasons for and experiences of attending A&E for help with their persistent pain.

The researchers are seeking volunteers to attend an online interview about their A&E experiences. Recruitment will be open until 20th August 2026.

Birmingham Conference 14th June, 2026.

Many thanks to everyone who attended our conference in Birmingham. We had a packed programme throughout the day and are incredibly grateful to our speakers, whose informative, inspiring and uplifting presentations helped make the event such a success. We even welcomed a comedian, who delivered a hilarious yet heartfelt talk that was enjoyed by all.

It is always a pleasure to meet patients we may previously have spoken to online or through our advice line. We were delighted to make new friends and to welcome familiar faces who continue to support us year after year. We value every one of them and hope the conference proved helpful, informative and enjoyable for all who attended.

A huge THANK YOU goes to our sponsors, electroCore, who have championed us for many years, and also to our wonderful fundraisers who always go above and beyond, volunteering their time and energy to raise funds for us. We simply could not do what we do without their steadfast and generous support.

MOGADOR CHARITY PLANT SALE, MAY 2026.

We are incredibly grateful to Lindsey von Backström and all involved for the donation made to OUCH (UK) from this fabulous fundraiser. So many causes benefit from it! It's a really wonderful day. Lindsey has said this has grown into a much anticipated community event, bringing together those with a shared love of gardening. It’s become so much more than just plants with stalls, a huge raffle, bar and bbq, auction and more. Lindsey feels incredibly lucky with the amazing friends that volunteer and bring cakes on the day too. This year they raised an incredible £8,253! So far money has been donated to OUCH UK, TRACKS through pastures, Whizz kidz and Stripey Stork. Charities supporting young people with SEND, disability or disadvantaged. More money will be allocated soon to their local hospice, an over 70’s Christmas lunch for those that are alone/ lonely at Christmas time and for other local projects helping to support wildlife."
